Admission Test for PhD in Molecular Biology Candidates applying for admission into the LUMS-SSE PhD Program in Biology must takethe LUMS Graduate Admissions Test (LGAT) as well as the SSE-Subject Test in Biology. Purpose of both these testsis to assess preparedness of a student for admission into the PhD program. LGAT is a generalized test that is composed of Verbal, Math and Analytical sections. The Subject Test is designed to test fundamental concepts that are covered during internationally recognized undergraduate (i.e., BS) programs in Molecular & Cell Biology. Exam questionswill be derived from the following five areas:
1. Biochemistry 2. Molecular Biology 3. Cell Biology 4. Genetics 5. Biotechnology
Subject Test in Biologywill be comprised of 60 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and its duration will be 2 hours.
