OUTPATIENT SERVICESThe Cone Health Cancer Center’s outpatient servicesinclude medical oncology, supplemented with alarge chemotherapy infusion suite, to handle allchemotherapy and related supportive care infusions.Our radiation oncology department offers state-of-the-art radiation therapy technology, includingTomoTherapy, SRS, HDR and IMRT radiation services.

INPATIENT SERVICESWesley Long Hospital, located adjacent to the Cone Health Cancer Center, has a dedicated floor for oncology patients for the administration of chemotherapy as well as the care of complications related to chemotherapy or malignancy.

SATELLITE CLINICSSimilar services are offered at our three satellite cliniclocations within 30 miles of the main campus.

IS YOUR FUTURE IN ONCOLOGY PRACTICE?Learn how to provide integrated pharmaceutical care at a patient-specific level across the continuum of care. As a resident you will develop your philosophy of practice by: • Being accountable for optimal drug therapy outcomes for cancer patients.

• Participating in the management of treatment-related complications (pain, infection, GI toxicities).

• Providing pharmacist-managed clinics such as one for oral chemotherapy.

• Educating and training other health professionals.

• Completing a major research project and sharing your research through publication and presentation opportunities.

• Organizing a program of self-learning while preparing to become a Board Certified Oncology Specialist.

CANCER CENTER RESEARCHAs part of our research program, we affiliate with Southeastern Cancer Control Consortium to participate in National Cancer Institute-approved clinical research projects. We also participate in industry sponsored trials and have a research affiliation with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This gives our patients access to the newest developments in cancer treatment and care.
