Peugeot’s commitment : A specific mechanism for each spice, with a lifetime limited guarantee.

Nutmeg mechanism

The pepper mechanism is equipped with a helix-shaped double row of teeth that guide and hold the peppercorns for a perfect grind. It has a patented treatment that protects the steel from corrosion while maintaining its sharpness and wear resistance.

Spice mechanism The Peugeot spice mechanism provides high performance for grinding spices and dried aromatic herbs such as basil, thyme, parsley, cumin, coriander seeds, etc… Its shape is designed to prevent friction, and provides excellent resistance to breakage and wear.

The Peugeot salt mechanism is designed to crush dry sea salt. It is made of specially treated stainless steel to help resist salt corrosion. Fully adjustable, the salt mills can produce grinds from powdery fine to very coarse.

The chili pepper mechanism is a Peugeot exclusive product. This patented model has a pre-cutting system and a mechanism perfectly suited to grind dried chilis.

Guérande saltmechanism A specially designed mill for wet sea salt. The natural consistency and moisture content do not allow the use of an ordinary salt mill. A spiral guides the salt, ensuring that it does not stick together.

The Peugeot nutmeg mill is equipped with a double stainless steel grater blade and a strong claw that enables the nutmeg to be very finely ground. Just turn the handle to release all the nutmeg flavors, without any risk to your fingers.

They are suitable for grinding black, white, dry green peppercorns and pink berries (blended with max 15% pink), as well as dried coriander. The pepper mechanism is equipped with a helix-shaped double row of teeth to guide and hold the peppercorns for the perfect grind. Steel mechanisms are protected from corrosion while maintaining sharpness and wear resistance.

Which salt to use?To get the best results from your Peugeot salt grinding mechanism we recommend:• salt with a diameter of 4 mm (0.16”) or less• dry coarse salt; dry sea salt or rock saltThe mechanism is made of stainless steel and is not sensitive to salt corrosion.

wet sea salt mechanismWhich salt to use?The natural consistency and moisture content prevent using an ordinary salt mill for wet sea salt. The Peugeot wet salt mechanism uses a spiral guide to move the salt, ensuring that it does not stick together. TIP: Salt that is very wet will not grind properly. If salt is too wet, leave out in the air to dry for 24-28 hours before filling the grinder.

Paris u’Select The iconic Paris shape from Peugeot – copied more often than any other style – is even more convenient with Peugeot’s patented u’Select grind adjustment system. A simple turn of the wrist allows the user to adjust the grind to 6 pre-defined settings, or any point in between, for grinds ranging from powdery-fine to extra-coarse. Six finishes in total: natural, chocolate, white lacquered, black lacquered, red lacquered and curry lacquered. Sizes range from 13 cm / 5” to 40 cm / 16” for most colors.

How to use Clef du Vin: • Pour a glass of wine, taste it and memorise your

sensations. • Dip the Clef du Vin dot in the wine for one second and then

taste again, noting any changes. • Continue this process until the taste no longer improves, or

begins to turn. • Each successive dipping of the Clef du Vin should be

added to the previous one. Example: 1 second + 1 second equals 2 seconds' contact, which equals two years' ageing.

• Every second the dot is in contact with the wine is the equivalent of one year's ageing.

Q Will it turn a poor quality wine into a good one?

No – it’s not a magic wand.

Q Can it make a wine, opened too young, more enjoyable?

Yes, in most cases. Poor quality wines or wines with no ageing potential may not be affected, or may be negatively affected.

Q Is ageing with the Clef du Vin identical to bottle ageing?

No – that is impossible. Clef du Vin can only reveal the ageing potential of a wine and help expose many of its intended flavours and aromas.

Q Can a wine be over-exposed to the Clef du Vin dot?

Yes – just as a wine can be over-aged in the bottle, so too can it be over-aged with Clef du Vin and turn bad.

Q What do you mean by “Clef du Vin is a calibrated tool”?

This refers to the size of the dot with each model: The pocket and service models are both

calibrated for a 100 ml / 3.4 oz glass of wine. The bottle model is calibrated for a full 750 ml

bottle of wine. For the stated volume of wine, one second of contact between the wine and the dot is equivalent to one year’s ageing.

Q How does the Clef du Vin work?

The dot, a patented alloy of metals, acts as a catalyst. It rapidly accelerates the oxygen reduction process, specifically targeting the tannins of a red wine and the acids of both red and white wines. As tannins and acids soften, a wine becomes more enjoyable; its aromas and flavours, normally revealed with age, can be revealed.

Why use a decanter? A decanter provides the ideal environment for a wine to reveal the subtle details of its color and the diversity of its aro-matic palette, one that will refine the wine’s taste to enable the full expression of its intensity. As well as being an object d’art, the decanter should also be a functional tool, designed specifically to accentuate all the pleasures that wine tasting has to offer.

Mature Red Wines A red wine that has been allowed to fully mature in its bottle is decanted to separate any sediment that has formed in the wine. The complexity and fullness that has developed over time must remain intact for the taster. The decanting process is a gentle one and requires a decanter shape that will not over-expose the wine to oxygen.

White Wines Due to their fairly fragile nature, white wines should be handled with great care. Gently swirling them will refine their aromatic purity whilst at the same time preserving their freshness.

PRICING Prices as specified and subject to change without notice. Orders will be billed at prices and terms in effect at time of shipment/order.

FREIGHT Freight Prepaid Chicago, IL Warehouse for single order in excess of $750. F.O.B. Chicago, IL Warehouse for single order below $750.

TERMS Net 30 days on approved Credit. First order is required to be prepaid unless otherwise approved by PSP USA, LLC Credit Dept. VISA and MASTERCARD accepted, with a 3% service charge. Electronic payment, or direct deposit, as arranged with PSP USA, LLC Credit Dept.MINIMUM Minimum order $150 net. A handling charge of $10.00 will be added ORDER on all orders below $150.

BACKORDERS Backorders will be sent as soon as the merchandise is received by PSP USA, LLC unless you are notified otherwise.

RETURNS A Return Authorization number is required for any return made to PSP USA, LLC. Returns to be sent freight pre-paid. Unauthorized returns will be refused at our dock and freight charges will remain the responsibility of customer shipping the merchandise. PSP USA, LLC will determine if credit is due only after inspecting the returned merchandise. Credit will not be given on worn or misused product. 15% re-stocking charge on all returns. All returns are to be sent to the warehouse address below.

CLAIMS All claims for damages, overages, shortages or defective merchandise must be made within 5 days of receipt of shipment. All damages and shortages must be filed with carrier within 5 days as well. Original shipping cartons must be retained for any claim.

MISC All quantities are subject to availability. All orders are subject to acceptance by PSP USA, LLC, Chicago, IL

PAST DUE PSP USA, LLC reserves the right not to ship new orders until all past POLICY due invoices are paid. Continued late payments will result in a review of the account and probable change of terms status.
