Hello everyone :) It’s Petra’s headband again! First of all I really would

like to say a big thank you to each of you for all your nice messages

about the first issue of this Petra Kvitova’s fans’ magazine! Of course

after so many compliments the pressure is high and real for this second

issue! And this time, of course you will find a focus on Petra’s Asian

tourney and her amazing Chinese fans! :) But also what happened to me

these last weeks as Petra’s headband, a look to the support all the

#teampetra provide to its champion :) And of course all the fun of the

social media and the quiz are still part of this issue number 2 :)

Petra’s life on the tour

Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open

After her great run in New York at the US Open Petra had a week off

to rest a little bit and prepare her Asian tourney. Everything started in

China, in Wuhan to be exact, where Petra had a title to defend. When

she arrived in Wuhan Petra had a great time with her friend Li Na. But

when the tournament started, the least we can say is it wasn’t an easy

start for Petra. Our lovely Czech lefty needed 3 sets, 2 hours and 45

minutes to win a tough battle against the talented Daria Gavrilova. For

sure Petra was happy to have won it, but she was actually surprised to

have been through it: “I’m surprised myself that I’m still here. But I think

these kind of matches are important, as well, to get confidence and to

know that if you are not playing well and you are not 100% ready for

something like that, you can still win. After this tough match what should

happen unfortunately happened, and a tired Petra lost against a good

Roberta Vinci. Petra didn’t search any excuses but praised Vinci,

showing once again how humble and classy she is: “She’s very good

player with a good touch. She really can go for the net from the serve. She can return and go for the volley, as well. She really

have a good placement and the slice is I just think the best on the tour. She can do whatever she wants with that.”

China Open - Beijing

After this not so good campaign in Wuhan we can’t lie, we were all

disappointed, but full of hope for Beijing, another tournament in China,

a successful country for Petra. But once again things didn’t really go

the way Petra and all her fans have imagined it and Sara Errani ended

all the hopes at the first round of the China Open… It was tough for us,

it was even tougher for Petra who was till tired and hadn’t the necessary

energy to go further: “The loss is always disappointing. I really wanted

to win and kind of qualify for Singapore here. But I just wasn’t really

able to. You know, it was kind of game which I really had to be ready

physically and mentally and everything, and I just wasn’t.” Despite

these results we can be proud of Petra and there is no doubt that with

a bit of rest Petra will end this 2015 season with some good results.

Petra is now sure to be qualified for the WTA Finals in Singapore for

the second straight year, and Petra will also have the Fed Cup Final to

play in Prague against a Russian team who will be able to count on her

leader Maria Sharapova. So as you see, a lot of possibilities to finish

this season on a good note for Petra! :)

My headband’s life

What happened to me last month :

My message to Petra :

Hi everyone! Petra’s headband is talking to you again ;) After a really good end of

the summer for Petra, September and first week of October haven’t been so

successful… But as since the beginning of this 2015 season Petra continues to

keep me on her head no matter what happens. I have to say I really appreciate it!

Petra is just so nice with me :) And icing on the cake… It seems I was nice enough

for Nike Tennis to give me purple again! It was such a long time since I wore this

very beautiful colour :) I personally find it suits me really well, and as it suits Petra

too, it’s a perfect choice and if Nike hear me, you should give it more often to my

dear boss and me :)

As I said just above, the Asian tourney hasn’t been very successful for Petra

unfortunately :( Only one victory, yes, but Petra said herself she wasn’t feeling really

good. And if you have watched her matches, or read comments from her fans, you

already know that Petra give everything and really tried her best in Wuhan as in

Beijing! When your body doesn’t allow you to reach your goals you can’t do anything

except fight till the end, and that’s what Petra did. So, of course, I don’t blame Petra

at all, and once again she gave me and all of her fans so many reasons to be proud

of her! :) Also knowing Petra met her great friend Li Na and seeing the pictures of

these two smiling together was really something nice :) And of course I can’t forget

to mention the amazing Chinese fans in Wuhan and Beijing!! #teampetra in China

is simply amazing <3 To conclude, the season is not over yet and I’m convinced

Petra will finish 2015 on a high, so POJD!! :)

What happens when Petra is playing :

The Petra Kvitova Experience, By the

Chinese fans

#TeamPetra in China : As for the first issue of the magazine, some fans of Petra have accepted to

share their experience :) And this time this is obviously the Chinese fans

who have accepted to share their experience in Wuhan and Beijing :)

I am Juju, one of the person in charge of Petra Chinese Fans Club. I have

been a fan of Petra for 4 years now and I followed Petra all the way from

Wuhan to Beijing this year. We prepared a photo album for Petra that

contained the blessings from all her Chinese Fans. Fortunately, I handed

the gift to her on her first day of practice in Wuhan. I felt so glad that she

liked our gift.

As a defending champion, she battled hardly against Gavrilova in the

opening match. We felt so happy that she pull it through. Although her Asian

run was not ideal this year, we still support her as always and we are

delighted to hear that she would fight to qualify for YEC. As a fan, I wish

that she can compete with 100% without any injuries. In the coming years,

we the Chinese Fans will continue to attend Petra’s matches to show our

support. Thank you Petra!

It is official!! Petra is now sure to be part of the BNP Paribas WTA Finals in Singapore for the

second year in a row :) It will also be the fifth consecutive participation of Petra to the WTA Finals.

Despite some really tough moments during this 2015 season Petra’s determinations and hard work

are finally rewarded and we can only be very happy for her! :)

Just a little reminder about Petra’s best performances this year: Title in Sydney, Madrid and New

Haven ; Semi-finalist in Shenzhen ; Quarterfinalist at the US Open :)

* Petra is guaranteed an alternate position in Singapore if the WTA Finals WC is used. If not, she has qualified :)
