A LEADING human rights campaigner is set to speak at Edge Hill University next month on The Unfinished Battle for LGBT Rights.
Peter Tatchell, a founding member of direct action group OutRage!, will speak on a variety of topics including the blood ban on gay men, gay rights, current affairs and his political history before opening the floor to debate and questions.
Mr Tatchell has spent 45 years campaigning globally for LGBT equality and human rights; from anti-fascism to anti-imperialism to LGBT rights in Zimbabwe.
He is currently campaigning for Equal Love which seeks to overturn the twin bans on gay civil marriages and heterosexual civil partnerships.
The talk, 6- 7.30pm on Wednesday May 9, will be held in H1 of the Health Building at Edge Hill University.
