What are my options? Licensee or Express Sitter?
1. Business Owner Licensee (L3) / Roving Team (Option after 90 days)
• Once off joining fee: R 400.00 and includes 1 x manual & starter kit.
• Monthly membership fee: R 400.00* per month x 12 (+ lead fees payable
after 3 months)
• 12-month business agreement + R 250.00 pro rata annual membership fee
payable in January of each year. – after 12 months.
• No royalties payable – Keep all you earn – See packages below
• Lead fees payable after 3 months of becoming a business owner: R 100.00
• Clients pay directly to Business Owner (BO)

• Annual registration fee R 100.00. Monthly fee R 120.00 after 1st assignment.
• No direct access to BO clients or direct payments*

PET SITTERS in the CAPE TOWN SUBURBS – Cape Town – In the Beginning 2010
It’s an early March morning 2010 in Bellville and pet sitters from all over the Northern Suburbs are meeting to discuss the growing pet sitting service industry in South Africa.
Personal on-site pet sitting has become a much-desired alternative to kennel care and is fast on therise. To date, Pet sitters Cape Town has achieved a record of over 28 000 visits by 2019.
Pet Sitters Cape Town is actively engaged in coordinating and training pet sitters in Cape Town forthis exclusive pet service. Leigh De Wet, the director of Pet Sitters CC is the first South African petsitter to be accredited in 2011 by Pet Sitters International (Psi), the largest pet care trainingcompany in the world.
Leigh explains that on-site pet care is a very responsible business, with the pet sitter being bothcare-giver and gate-keeper for absent owners while on business or vacation. “Our service includespets, plants, post, pools, poop and perimeters in our low daily fee of R 99.00”. We offer an entry-exitservice and a sleep-in service for indoor and special need pets.
Services can be tailored to the client’s needs. Pet sitters do however, not replace securitycompanies. Our services extend to Bellville, Brackenfell, Durbanville Parow, Tableview, SomersetWest, Tokai, Kommetjie and beyond.
Our business centers around repeat and referral business, with satisfied clients using our servicesconsistently. Leigh explains that anyone may be a pet sitter, but not every pet sitter is equipped tohandle a crisis or emergency when confronted with one while on a pet assignment. We encourageall pet sitters to get organised and to acquire the skills necessary to be effective in personal petcare. Pet care can be part-time or full time and is becoming a sustainable business for pet lovers.
All our sitters are carefully selected, then trained in first aid and cat and dog basic pet care &behavior, as entry level sitters. Our skills and continuous training ensure peace of mind for ourclients. Peace of mind and trust, is ultimately what our service is all about. of ID, proof of address (FICA).

3. Await confirmation of your acceptance and receive your kit.
A. Business owners (BO):
After 30 days an express sitter can upgrade from
business owner for FREE (Express upgrade option only)
(REF: NEW BO) start up fee and complete the 4 agreements
provided. You will commence with business training immediately at
400.00pm thereafter.
B. Express sitters: Once accepted, please pay the R 400.00* start up
fee and R 120.00 pm thereafter. Complete the 3 agreements
provided. You will have +30 days to complete your level 1 exam
(REF: Express Level 1 or EXP2)
• Once the funds and agreements have been received, your kit will be sent
to you with copies of the agreement.
• You will be activated on the website* and contact list*
• You are now eligible to attend the (6) training meetings and participate in
the business of pet sitting. Your monthly fees will become due within the
following month, payable in advance

Pet Sitters International (PSI), an educational organization forprofessional pet sitters, found in its 2018 State of the IndustrySurvey that only 3 percent of its members pursued pet sittingas a first career immediately following high school or college.
While nearly 40 percent of its members decided to start aprofessional pet-sitting business post-retirement or after beinglaid off (16.9 percent and 21.8 percent, respectively), most ofPSI’s members (58 percent) chose to leave another career toopen their own professional pet-sitting business.
These pet-sitting business owners came from a variety ofprofessional backgrounds, ranging from business managementto education to veterinary and medical support.
“Pet sitting is an ever-growing industry,” said PSI presidentPatti Moran. “Professional pet-care services are in highdemand, and pet sitting is a viable career option with significantearning potential for those with an entrepreneurial spirit, a lovefor pets and a commitment to professionalism and hard work.”
