PET-FRIENDLY RESORT AREAS• Well-mannered dogs 35-pounds and less are welcome at The Ritz-Carlton, Bal Harbour. • Pets are not permitted inside the dining outlets, at the pool or on Bal Harbour Beach. • Pets must be leashed or held in your arms in all common and outdoor resort areas.

PET AMENITIES AND ACTIVITIES RESORT DOG PARK: our picturesque new dog park is located just outside the hotel, with a winding pathway, plenty of grass and palm trees for shade, alongside ocean views. Open daily.

WELCOME AMENITIES: we’re pleased to provide food and water bowls, doggie disposal bags, a toy and our house made dog treats. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make our furry guests more comfortable!

FLAMINGO PARK: A 36-acre park in the heart of South Beach with separate areas for small and large dogs. 1200 Meridian Avenue, Miami Beach | 9.3 miles, 30 minutes

DAVID T. KENNEDY PARK: Located in Coconut Grove, this bayfront green space features running paths, beach volleyball, wooden docks and two dog parks (for small and large dogs) with scenic views of Biscayne Bay. 2400 S Bayshore Drive, Miami | 17 miles, 40 minutes

HAULOVER BEACH PARK: Just north of the resort, Haulover Beach Park contains the largest stretch of undeveloped beachfront in the county. There is a designated area where dogs are welcome to swim, as well as a no-leash bark park near the south picnic area (accessible through Collins Avenue.) 10800 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach | 1.3 miles, 7 minutes

NORTH SHORE OPEN SPACE PARK: This park features a bark beach where dogs can run free off-leash. The rest of the park is dog-friendly, but dogs are required to be on-leash. There are plenty of dog-friendly restaurants nearby. 8328 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach | 2.5 miles, 10 minutes

HOBIE ISLAND BEACH PARK: One of Miami’s favorite dog-friendly beaches where dogs can run off-leash. Because this beach is on the Intracoastal, it features calm, shallow water, ideal for dogs who love to swim. Old Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami | 17 miles, 40 minutes

SHOPPINGBAL HARBOUR SHOPS: Well-behaved dogs are welcome in common areas in this scenic, upscale outdoor mall that features designer brands and dining. Open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and on Sundays, 12 p.m.-6 p.m. 9700 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour | 1 mile, 6 minutes

BRICKELL CITY CENTER: Dogs are welcome at this outdoor mall in downtown Miami. Open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and on Sundays 12 p.m.-7 p.m. 701 S Miami Avenue, Miami | 15 miles, 40 minutes

LINCOLN ROAD MALL: The nation’s first pedestrian mall is also very dog friendly, with Yappy Hour every third Thursday. Many of the restaurants have outdoor seating, ideal for a lunch or dinner date with Fido. Open daily, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. 400 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach | 8 miles, 30 minutes
