COURSE DESCRIPTION

This two-day course is provides a clinical perspective of PET and PET/CT imaging. Basic to advanced applications of PET and PET/CT are put in the context of disease detection and treatment planning.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:• Identify and discuss the clinical applications of PET/CT• Describe a systematic approach to interpreting PET/CT• Recognize normal variants, incidental findings, and pitfalls on PET/CT• Interpret PET/CT for a wide range of oncologic indications including assisting in diagnosis, staging, restaging and monitoring response to therapy in a variety of cancer types

TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is intended for practicing radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and radiologic nurses, physician assistants, technologists, residents, fellows and others who are interested in the clinical applications of PET and PET/CT.
