Day 1 - Depart USA/Lima Depart Miami to Lima, Peru. Meals andrefreshments served on board.Day 2 – Lima Upon arrival, proceed to baggage claim. The rest of the day is at leisure for activities on your own.Overnight in Lima.Day 3 – Lima After breakfast visit downtown at City of the Kings, themost important American city during colonial times. Take a walk aroundthe Main Square, where you can find the Presidential Palace, theCathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and Metropolitan City Hall, and manybeautiful buildings full of history and tradition. Then, explore San FranciscoMonastery, probably the most spectacular church of colonial Lima, housingthe catacombs and a fine museum of religious art from the 17th century.The tour goes on to the modern district of San Isidro, where you willdiscover Huaca Huallamarca, a pre-Inca pyramid constructed completelywith adobe bricks, and end up in the touristic district of Miraflores, whereyou will view the Pacific Ocean coast from the vast seafront. Experience in ore as we have aguided tour of the splendid and vast archaeological citadel of Pachacamac.A sacred and ceremonial site dating back to the beginnings of Christianitywhere thousands of pilgrims converged to pay tribute and consult thePachacamac oracle, who they believed could see the past, the future andpeople’s fate. Pachacamac was also believed to house the creator of theuniverse and a divinity adored by old Andean civilizations. Highlightsinclude the Temple of Pachacamac, the Sun God shrine, and the Palaceof the Chosen Women or Virgins of the Sun. Overnight in Lima. (B)Day 5 – Lima/Cusco After breakfast transfer out to the airport for yourflight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco you will be transferred to your hotel.After check-in there will be a tour that reveals the amazing colonial citybuilt on the foundations of the Inca palaces. You will visit the Koricanchaor Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the incredible masonry ofthe Incas, the Plaza de Armas, and the Cathedral with its carvedwoodworks, altars and paintings. Then you will visit the Inca fortress ofSacsahuamán, to see the underground cave and temple of Kenko, take-inthe panoramic view of Puca Pucará, then enter Tambomachay, known asthe Baths of the Inca. Finally, we stop at the living art workshop “Inka´sExpression.” The visit will allow travelers to admire how the local artisanscreate wonderful silver pieces, paintings and wood carvings. (B,D)Day 6 – Cusco/Sacred Valley/Cusco Travel to the Urubamba Valley,the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and visit the archaeological remains in thevillage of Pisac, 31 kilometers (19 miles) from Cusco, featuring a view ofthe Vilcanota River. The well-preserved fortresses, urban complexes,

temples, and Andean terraces built by the Incas, create an imposing andunforgettable view. We will visit the colorful market of Pisac, where you canenjoy a blend of color, tradition, and welcoming locals presenting theirhandicrafts and regional products. You will have lunch at a local restaurant,then head to Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied village ofthe South American continent, where we will visit its namesake fortress.Overnight in Cusco. (B,L)Day 7 – Cusco/Machu Picchu/Cusco Today you will take a muchanticipated tour to Machu Picchu. Enjoy a morning departure to the trainstation and board your Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. You will visitone of the seven new wonders of the world and an important source ofenergy: Machu Picchu. On the way you will enjoy an impressive view ofUrubamba's Sacred Valley. Once we arrive at Aguas Calientes, board thebus to the citadel. It will be an unforgettable experience. A professionalguide will walk you through the intriguing story that envelopes thismystifying place. After the guided visit, you will have free time to explore atleisure, or simply relax and meditate. (B,L,D)Day 10 – Puno Visit the floating islands of the Uros, known as the “Peopleof the Lake.” These islands are built from layers of Totora reeds and areused as housing and trade centers. Namesake locals travel on handcraftedrafts. The main activities of the Uros are fishing and hunting; they alsoweave wool tapestry and dissect animals. (B,D)Day 11 – Puno A full day at leisure to take-in all the magnificent momentsyou have experienced in the Inca’s land.
