This is an image of a farmer using a laptop computer. We have become a society almost dependent on technology such as laptops. Do you use computers at school or at home? How do computers help you, or are they a problem

for you? Write a persuasive essay in which you argue for more computer use or less. Be sure to provide specific examples to support your

position.

If you could have any pet in the world, what would you choose? Write a letter to your parents telling them which pet you would like to own. Give several reasons why the pet you have chosen is the best choice. Convince your parents that you will be a great pet owner.

This is an image of a professional woman talking on a cell phone. Talking on the phone has been and is a great pastime, and people are on cell phones in more public places than ever. Unless otherwise indicated, you can take your cell phone anywhere. There have been and will continue to be discussions about the pros and cons of cell phone use in public places. Cell phones have been banned in many public schools. How do you feel about this subject? What is the policy at your school? In a persuasive essay present your views on whether students should be allowed to use cell phones on public school campuses. Should cell phones be allowed in certain areas of the school and not others? Why?

Author of the highly successful Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling has created an on-going narrative similar to that of Lord of the Rings and the Arthurian legends. Write a persuasive essay in which you select one of the narrative series above and convince someone who has never read it to do so. Be sure to use specific examples in your essay.

So what will you write your persuasive essay about? Choose one of the topics you have seen in this presentation. Write your topic or print the slide and bring it to class.
