I provide monthly consultation to 15 facilities, but I have spent 30-years working in one aspect or another of the residential services field, as direct care staff, workshop and day program instructor, and as a QMRP. I earned a B.A. from UC Berkeley and a M.A. from SDSU, both in Psychology. At SDRC I worked as a Service Coordinator, in the Intake Department, and for 5 years as a Quality Assurance inspector of Board and Care homes. I am an expert in both Title 17 and Title 22 regulations, have broad insider knowledge of the regional center system, long-term familiarity with licensing, and know a variety of professionals in the field. My parents operated an ARF-DD home for 25 years and this is one reason I became an advocate for care providers. I can write both Parts A & B for a facility license, as well as regional center Program Designs. My work meets all regulations and standards and my own exacting criteria. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce my business to you. Please contact me so we can discuss your specific needs. Mears Consulting If you’re like most people, you’ll be left with more questions than answers following your Community Care Licensing (CCL) orientation today. The orientation is designed for a broad audience with an emphasis on the application materials and will not adequately address your individual situation or concerns. What type of facility is best for me? What classes and other requirements do I need to complete? Are there any potential problems with my house? A personalized approach is required to answer these questions. The completion of an application for a facility license will take most people many weeks, even months, of exhaustive work. Once completed you will have no way of knowing what problems may be present in your work; problems that can delay the approval of your application and the granting of a license. S ince 2004 I have completed over 100 license applications for child, adult, and elderly facilities. I generally write at least one per month and therefore know what to expect throughout the process and what current licensing and regional center personnel are looking for. I am based in San Diego and have become very familiar with the agencies and personnel here. W hen reviewing my menu of services and price list below, please ask yourself what your time is worth.
