Psalm 1 January 14 Lord, your word promises that I will be blessed if I do not walk in the advice of the wicked, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of scoffers. Father, may my delight always be in the law of the Lord. Help me to meditate on Your Word day and night. When I do this God, you say that I will be like a tree that is planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf doesn't wither. Like this tree, I will be grounded and growing. Lord help me to remember that the wicked are not like this. They are like chaff that the wind blows away. The wicked will not be able to defend themselves when they are judged, and sinners will not stand in the congregation of the righteous. Lord, I know that you take note of the righteous, but those who are wicked will perish.

Lord, I ask You to strengthen me in my inner man so that I will never grow weary and lose heart. Allow me to see that even though outwardly I may be wasting away, inwardly I am being renewed day by day, and that my light and momentary troubles are achieving an eternal glory that far outweighs all my earthly troubles. I pray that I would fix my eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, because what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
