•Safety Goggles

•Fine Sandpaper

•Wood Glue

•Hammer

Finished example.

Step 1—Stand both side pieces on the long edges with the slots facing in. Match the slots and lines. Carefully spread them about 2 inches apart.

Step 2—Using the lines as guide, glue the front piece on top. Make sure one end and side edges are even. Nail the front piece in place. Turn the project over. Repeat to attach the back piece on the opposite end.

Step 3—Peel off the protective sheets from both mirrors.

Step 4—Stand the project up. With the mirror side facing down, slide one mirror into the slots.

Glue one end piece on top. Make sure all edges are even. Nail the end piece in place.

Turn the project over. Repeat with this end.

Attention: If you are painting the periscope, make sure not to paint the mirrors. Painting the mirrors will make the periscope not work!
