Coolmax® Extreme with freshFX™

Everyone knows Coolmax®, the industry-leading moisture-wicking fi ber made by Invista®. What most people don’t know is that Coolmax® clothing comes in three distinct performance grades: Everyday, Active and Extreme.

For our garments, Tac Wear uses a proprietary fabric proven by Invista to exceed their Extreme performance standard. Our fabric also includes an invisible silver fi ber – that’s the freshFX™ component – that’s anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-odor.

What all this means is that the performance of our Coolmax Extreme® with freshFX™ garments is integral to the fabric itself. It literally can’t wash out, so our garments continue to deliver tremendous wicking performance even after years of wear.

NOMEX® doesn’t burn, melt or drip, and it puts a protective barrier between the danger and the wearer. NOMEX® is also lightweight, breathable and comfortable to wear for prolonged periods.

All of Tac Wear’s thermal protection garments are created using an advanced, soft-knit NOMEX® fabric that’s stretchy, durable, easy-to-clean and soft to the touch. They’re also constructed using NOMEX® thread, to ensure they stay together when protection is needed most. Zippered garments feature NOMEX® taped brass and Vislon® zippers from YKK® for additional protection.
