Cl ient Over v iew:Client is world’s leading mobile
telecommunications company with Austral ian operations.
Requi rement Over v iew: The o ctive was to
develop a web based intranet portal for performance
evaluation of their employees. The application was
estimated to handle 5000 active users at any given time.
The application needed to be developed indigenously
and deployed later on the existing infrastructure and
network. Client wanted to developed application along
with fol lowing major modules:
1. Role Based User Interface
2. Employee Management
3. Performance Record Management Including Plan,
Review, Rating and Career Goals.
4. 360 Degree Feedback
Client wanted to define the goals for an individual and
the team. They also wanted to improve the transparency
with the employee regarding their performance
evaluation.
Proposed So lu t ion : Silver Touch provided a
comprehensive solution in .NET framework 3.5 over
Windows server 2008 and MS SQL 2008 back end data
management Server. The technology was selected based
on the current cl ient infrastructure and preference and
also based on the versati le & robust Microsoft platform
to handle the large active user base.
The solution has incorporated user based roles and
functionality to offer greater f lexibi l i ty & security
throughout the system. The solution also keeps a
backup of the previous feedbacks and reviews, and the
review for the new cycle begins with this database. The
evaluation takes place based on the ratings given by the
managers as well as the peer reviews.
Pro jec t Descr ip t ion :
The ult imate objective was to develop intranet portal to
know the performance evaluation of the employees. This
application is helping each employee of the organization
to create an achievement plan. The application al lows
each employee to create individual plan in their account.
Each employee is able to view their previous plan in
their account, add new plan and predefine activit ies in
the task and define timeline as they want. The manager
of the organization al locates the specif ic task to each
employee. Each manager can view and track the records
of employees who are working under them. The portal
administrator can view and track entire employees’
reports of the organization. Manager and Administrator
are able to rate each employee’s activity. Manager has
the option to write feedback to the employees; the
employee can also sare feedback on their work and
upload the documents if necessary. The application
“My Achieve Plan” displays summary of each individual
employee’s task reports.
