Fixing devices on the tractor- Pipe fixing hoops are included for fitting the pipe to

the tractor.

- The fixing devices (A, B, C) for fitting the pipe hoops (D) to the tractor are not included. The mounting brackets must be made on the spot according to the type of tractor.

Front mounting example:

- Make fixing device (A) and fit hoop (D).

Centre mounting example:

- Secure pipe clamp (B) to cabin stay and fit hoop (D).

Rear mounting example:

- Secure fixing device (C) to cabin and fit hoop (D).

General notes on road transport

• Lower implement far enough to have a ground clearance of 25-30 cm.Advantage: centre of gravity lies lower, therefore less

danger of

tipping.

• Secure hydraulic control valve on tractor against unintentional use!The working unit is hydraulically locked in the transport

position

(fig. 9).

Only when the hydraulic control valve is actuated will the lock be released again.

• Check lighting and signs- for function

Necessary equipment

If tractor´s rear lights or direction indicators (blinkers) are blocked by the attached implement, then alternative devices must be used on the implement.

Take care when turning on slopes!

The tractor´s driving features are influenced by the weight of the attached implement. This can lead to dangerous situations especially on slopes.

Danger of tipping is present• when the working unit is hydraulically raised or

lowered

• when driving through curves with working unit raised.

Safety hints

• Reduce speed accordingly when driving through curves

• Travelling backwards on a slope is better than making a risky turn.

Dosing unit descriptionGeneralThe dosing shafts monitor signals the driver if the dosing shaft stops during operation (disruption to the drive).

Ensure that both sensor baskets are synchronized when running.

- when the left sensor shows a break, then the right must also.

- gap between sensor and sending container is 1-� mm

Standard equipment• a coarse dosing wheel (pos. 40)

• two fine dosing wheels (pos. 40a, 40b)

Optional equipment• a coarse dosing wheel (pos. 48b)

- for coarse seeds like peas and beans

- for sowing quantities up to 250 kg/ha

Adjusting seed quantity per hectareCalibration process So-called ”calibration process” establishes what

quantity (kg) of seed per hectare will be sown by adjusting the dosing device accordingly. Doing this enables the dosing device on the seed drill to be adjusted exactly to the desired seed quantity.

A more exact description of this is in the operating instructions for the ”Artemis” seed drill control found in the supplement of this operating manual.

• However before proceeding with ”calibration process”, the notes on the following pages should be observed.

• ”Calibration process” should be carried out simultaneously on both dosing units. Doing this enables any possible differences to be recognized immediately.

ADJUSTING SOWING QUANTITY(CALIBRATION PROCESS)

To be observed when adjusting the dosing unit

• Always carry out every adjustment on both TERRASEM 5000 F, TERRASEM 6000 F dosing units!

1. Selecting the dosing wheels (I, II, III)- remove cotter pin (�9)

- lock the shaft in the relevant hole (I, II, III) with the cotter pin (�9).The shaft can be moved by holding the star grip and gently turning back and forth.

Pos. III Coarse dosing wheel (40)

Pos. II Both fine dosing wheels (40a, 40b)

Pos. I One fine dosing wheel (40a)

In position I and II (fine seed) the coarse dosing wheel must be locked

- lever 45 in pos. B

In position III (coarse seed) the coarse dosing wheel must turn

- lever 45 in pos. A

2. Position of calibration process flaps (lever 47)

Always actuate both calibration process flaps even when only one dosing device is turned off.

• Calibration process: lever (47) in pos. B

• when operating: lever (47) in pos. A

3. Position of bottom flap (lever 48) 1 - 6 stop notch positions (see Seed Table)

The bottom flap of the dosing device is spring loaded and can therefore evade foreign objects in the seeds. Open the bottom flap one stop notch more if grain crushing is established during the turning off process.

4. Placement of agitator shaft with agitator fingers

The agitator shaft with agitator fingers ensures the even conveyance of seed to the dosing wheels.

• Set the outside agitator fingers (50) pointing inward.

• Remove agitator fingers with

- good rolling pees and beans

- oil saturated seeds (otherwise they could become crushed)

- Rapeseed

Button to briefly activate the dosing devicePressing this key turns the agitator shafts and dosing wheels. This enables the dosing wheels to be evenly filled with seed. Only then should the ”calibration process” process begin.

Procedure before ”calibration process”• Select dosing wheels (fig.11)

• Close both slides (pos. 5�)

• Set bottom flap

• Place agitator shaft with agitator fingers (50) (if necessary)

• Fill the tank with seed

• Place suitable containers (e.g. buckets) under the outlet

• open both turning off flaps (fig. 12 pos. B)

• press button (51) long enough until seed flows into the container evenly (after about 2 - � revolutions of the dosing wheels)

• Release the button and empty the containers (back into the tank)

• Preparations are now completed and ”calibration process” can now proceed.

A more exact description of this is in the operating instructions for the ”Artemis” seed drill control found in the supplement of this operating manual.

Procedure after ”calibration process”• close both calibration process flaps (fig. 12, pos. A)

• set the correct fan r.p.m. (fine seed / coarse seed)

- see supplement for ”Adjusting the Hydraulic Fan Drive”

To remove remaining seed- place suitable containers (e,g, buckets) under the

outlets

- open both slides (pos. 52)

• close both slides during field operation. (pos. 5�)

Track loosener

The disc track looseners are adjustable from tractor centre (fig. 10)

B = working width

A = half working width

R = row spacing

By turning the disc axle (29) the disc can be adjusted, appropriate to heavy or light ground, more or less by hand.

Overload safeguard:Use only M 10 x �5 DIN 601 4.6 shearing screw

Using track loosener- see also section ”Changing to Working Position” in

chapter ”Attaching to Tractor”

Lowering track loosener takes place in field operation- alternates automatically (left and right)

- move to ”lower” position each time after a ”raising” function

The impulse for further engagement occurs when both track looseners are folded in against the stopper.

• If the track loosener has to be folded in because of obstacles during operation

- Do not fold track loosener in to the stopper, just to an approx.vertical position: then no further engagement impulses can occur

- or fold the track loosener right in and then restore tramlining rhythm

With lowering the track loosener

- immediately after exceeding the ”dead centre” position, move the hydraulic control valve to the ”Float” position

- even during the drilling procedures, leave the hydraulic control valve in the ”Float” position.

For transportation- fold the track loosener in until it stops and secure with

pins.

Constructing a driving lane- Connect grey connecting pieces (hoses) to the

appropriate drill lever (lane width)

- On a driving lane outlet the bottom lever, for adjusting the shutter (�1, �1a), is connected to the switching magnet by a screw

- Set the length of the switching magnet screw so that when the outlet is closed, the shutter lies flat on the outlet wall (�1).

- Do not secure the upper shutter lever on the driving lane outlet (�6a)

The upper shutter lever (�6) is to be secured on the normal outlets (open outlets without switching magnet).

Driving lane- The driving lane distances are to accommodate the

following implement (e.g. crop sprayer).

With driving lane construction the wheel track areas (S1, S2) are free of seed.

This means the relevant seed outlets (driving lane outlets) are closed (�1) and the seed is fed back into the main pipe. (�1b).

However this seed will not be additionally allocated to the other rows. The seed quantity delivered for the drilling procedure (normal outlet) is adjusted down electronically

DistributorThe dosed seed is distributed evenly through the distributor accordin to the number of shares and fed through spiral hoses to the shares.

- Ensure that the hoses to the outside shares are layed with falls.

- Do not let them sag!

Tail wheel and pulse generatorThe trail wheel (�1) drives a pulse generator. This delivers the values of a section covered during the drilling procedure to the electronic control unit.

With that the electronic control unit continually calculates the quantity of seed needed for each section, if varying speeds are travelled for example.

This data acquisition is very precise and without fluctuations (slip) as no mechanical force is transferred.

Note• The fan must run with sufficient r.p.m.

If the fan runs with insufficient r.p.m. then seed will not be released from the container (blockage safeguard).

• Raise and lock the tail wheel when transporting

Marking the driving lane1) If the seed has not begun to shoot, meaning no plants are visible, then driving lanes are normally unrecognizable. Because of this any follow up work to be done, e.g. with a crop sprayer, becomes difficult.

Therefore it is advantageous to use both driving lane markers (�0) during the drilling procedure. These discs mark the driving lane track.

• Set the discs to the driving lane width.

- this setting is to accommodate the working width of the following implement (e.g. crop sprayer)

• both disc extension arms

- swing right up and lock when transporting

- release from the above lock-in position for operation

Coulter pressure / Seed depth adjustment- Hydraulically adjustable through a single acting control

device

- Additionally by changing the spring on the drill lever arm

- Hole pattern limits adjustment range

Coulter rail adjustment

- So that shares have an optimum swing range up and down the coulter rail must be set at a height of �8 – 40 cm

- Set the seeding rail so that the feed pipe on the distributor head sits vertical.

Coulter Exchanger

With the “AEROSEM F”, the s-coulters and wide band coulters may be exchanged without tools.

- Unhook the spring (33/1) and pull the spring-secured pin (33/2).

- Re-secure the pin after mounting.

S-Coulter (Fig. 33) – Normal coulterFor shallow seed placement, adjustable depth limiters may be fitted to the s-coulters at any time (��/4).

Wide band Coulter (Fig. 34) Approx. 8,5 cm wide for wide, yield-increasing seed spread and suitable for clean, finely tilled soils.

S-coulters and wide band coulters have a clogging-protection support. In addition they are spring mounted to fold forward to avoid deformation when lowering.

Single-Disc Coulter (Fig. 35) – ideal for crop residue with long stalks.The rotating scraper (35/1) cleans sticky soil off the inner side of the clearing disc (35/2). The curvature of the outer side creates a self-cleaning effect.

The rubber skirt (35/3) prevents the seed from jumping into the furrow.

The rotating scraper pressure may be adjusted by screwing the threaded axle (35/4) in or out. Secure the threaded axle with lock nut.

Also ensure that the PVC disc of the rotating scraper does not lie close to the front as this would produce a braking effect on the clearing disc.

Pressure Roller (Fig. �6) (Optional extra; only for machines with a 14 cm row gap)

The pressure roller (�6/1) may be used to press the seeds into the furrow or to close the furrow over the seeds.

The factory fitting is for pressing the seeds in the furrow.

When mounted to run beside the furrow the pressure roller will close the furrow.

For this purpose the roller (36/1) may be changed at its holder (36/2).

In addition the pressure roller serves to guide the single-disc coulters deeper into the soil.

Depth may be adjusted in 1cm intervals by changing the position of the spring pin (36/3).

Adjusting the Predoser

Reaction time Y: The reaction time is the time the driver needs to bring

the machine up to working speed after the waiting time has expired.

Therefore it depends upon the driver’s reactivity, the acceleration and the working speed to be attained.

The best way to determine this value is through trial and error.

In order to prevent interruptions or clump build-up through collision, both time values “X and y” must be carefully selected.

2. Parameters for Predosing

Determining the waiting time X: The pre-set normal value of � seconds is the correct

value for the Terrasem �000/4000.

The time is somewhat longer for front bin machines.

Two people are required to determine the correct time and the process must carried out as follows:

1. Lower machine

2. Switch blower on

�. Ensure that the dosing wheel is completely full

4. Place a bucket (or similar) under one of the shares

5. First person turns the pre-dosing on.

6. Second person measures the time taken until the first seeds drop into the bucket

7. The correct waiting time is the time measured minus 1 second.

quantity per turn of dosing shaft is to be conveyed. The more carefully the value is determined, the more accurately the dosing will work.

A value of 0.4�0 kg for normal seed types, for fine seeds a value of 0.0176 apply as good output values for the calibration test. The parameters can be input manually but through the calibration test, which is recommended in every case, they will be overwritten.

e TKG (Weight per 1000 seeds): If the quantity to be dosed is in seeds/m2 then the TKG

must be put in correctly. This parameter is irrelevant for quantity input in kg/ha.

f Volume Is important later for realized residual hectare indicator,

but no function at this time.

g Seed types The difference between normal seeds and fine seeds

is necessary to control the blower r.p.m. With “normal” setting then blower stage 2 is

automatically activated. With “Fine seed” setting then blower stage 1.

- With key 3 the calibration procedure can be briefly stopped in order carry out intermediary weighing, for example if the bucket is too small. Press the key once again and the procedure continues.

- When the calibration procedure is complete, after a few seconds the next site will appear.

5. Driving Lane SwitchBe

- Tramlining rhythm and equipment can be selected in this menu

- Rhythms from 1 (continuous tracking ) to 12 are possible, symmetrical or asymmetrical right or left

- Even a so-called stutter switch can be carried out.

This means when putting down the lanes the driving lane does not run free over the whole length, but sow and release alternately

Example: In a symmetrical cycle the left tractor lane sows for 5 m while the right lane runs free. A switch takes place after 5m and the right lane sows and the left runs free, etc.

Particularly when sowing crosswise to the geological lines counteract the seed being washed away by rainwater runoff

Seed quantity reduction: On machines with peripheral distribution heads the

excess seed is fed back into the airflow when putting down lanes.

So that the discharged quantity remains constant the quantity conveyed by the dosing shaft must be reduced accordingly.

Condition:

- the seed quantity reduction is switched on

- the parameters a and b must be adjusted carefully

Press “ESC” to leave the menu again.

Starting value for driving lane counting: After changing a lane, the track counter is automatically

reset to the starting value, which must be that for the beginning of the field.

- A speed signal is necessary for speed proportional dosing.

Should this signal become unavailable for any reason, e.g. a fault with radar sensors on the tractor or the machine, then without the emergency operation function the machine would not be functional.

- The “Dosing according to Constant Speed” function creates an artificial speed signal for dosing, similar to calibrating. The speed is relevant to each of the turning menus.

- On the display the operator can see near the tractor speed, the speed at which the dosing is working.

The operator must then attempt to drive the tractor as close as possible to this speed.

interrupted and the machine

switches over to secure state.

Automatic Functions

• Automatic functions can often be started one after the other at random because the control “knows” the machine’s situation.

A function already finished will not be carried out again the next time.

• The automatic function also recognizes when a situation has been manually set up.

If the blower is already running then the automatic skips this step.

• A running automatic function can be identified in the Work indicator by a blinking “A”.

• If an automatic function cannot be finished for any reason, a relevant message will appear.

1. Automatic Predosing Start from WORK menu 1

- press key 5

Predosing is a useful function to prevent defects caused through collision, resetting or a stop.

- With this the machine is brought to the working position with the blower at nominal speed.

- Then the machine begins to sow at leading speed.

- A blinking “A” appears simultaneously in the display.

- After the waiting time has expired an acoustic signal is audible.

- Now the seed drill must be brought up to working speed in the shortest time.

- For this process the reaction time Y is available which expires after the blinking “A” lapses.

- As soon as the actual speed exceeds the predosing speed or after the reaction time expires, dosing is controlled again as normal through the driving speed.

In order to prevent breaks or clump buildup through collision, both times should be carefully selected.

Lower machine! when the machine should not be

fully raised to carry out the required function. For the required function it is sufficient to lower the machine a little.

Lower completely! when the machine must be completely

lowered to carry out the required function as long as the upper running gear position sensor responds.

Raise completely! when the machine must be

completely raised to carry out the required function as long as the upper running gear position sensor responds.

FG switch is off! when functions for lane switching

are activated even though the lane rhythm in the SET/Lanes mask is on OFF.

Incorrect seed type! when the blower stage I or II set

manually does not suit the set seed type of fine or normal.

Drive slower! when the driving speed is to great

to carry out the required function. The function can be carried out after braking (mostly under 5km/h).

motor has set r.p.m. - dosing wheel is jammed or tight

b) The dosing wheel runs to slowly or stops, the dosing driving motor does not attain its set r.p.m. - a mechanical or hydraulic problem with the dosing

driving motor.c) Dosing shaft and dosing motor run at maximum

r.p.m.- the dosing shaft r.p.m. measurement in the dosing

auxiliary function (see under diagnostic message “Dosing motor sensor”) is also defective.

- Select “ground based” position using the “down” key. "

- Choose between “GPS”, “wheel sensor” and “deactivated” using the “+” or “-“ keys.

- An altered choice must be confirmed with ENTER.

- The setting “GPS/Radar” determines the speed from either the GPS or the radar, whereby the GPS has the higher priority. This means the radar signal substitutes as a measurement signal source when the GPS is not available.

- In the radar sensor setting, the radar signal is processed exclusively.

- If wheel sensor is selected then using the keyboard it is possible to spring up to input the impulse count per 100m.

- Carry out direct input or 100m equalization as described in the section “Wheel based speed”.

Accurate is to be carried in connection with the tractor being used.

Correct adjustment is essential to avoid possible sowing errors from under speed or damage to the fan from over speed.

The adjustment process (checking) should be carried out according to the following description.

Basic adjustment First adjustment:For seed drills the following nominal speeds apply

required nominal speed specific to the tractor before

commissioning.

Check before adjusting1. The following basic requirements should be

fulfilled by the tractor.a. Independently of the hydraulic jack working oil circuit

with a minimum oil output of �5 l/min. or

b. Closed hydraulic system pressure of at least 150 bar.

c. Free return to the hydraulic oil container by hydraulic plug coupling delivered at the same time, Baugr. 4 and a pipe diameter of at least 22m.

- Connection point according to the information of the tractor manufacturer.

(Assembling of the hydraulic plug coupling to the tractor for the return is not done by a Pöttinger erector)

d. Consultation with the tractor manufacturer whether the hydraulic unit is suitable for hydraulic motors

e. Oil cooler for hydraulic oil (only with excessive oil warming).

3. Lock tractor hydraulic connection as much as possible on priority switched control unit.

Adjustment process for fine seedFor drilling machines with hydraulic blower drive, a reduction in air volume is attained through a reduction in blower speed.

Adjustment if carried out as follows:Variant 1 - For tractors with adjustable oil volume, adjust

the speed through the oil volume control unit on the tractor.

Variant 2 - For tractors without adjustable oil volume

1. Turn the hand wheel (1) on the control valve completely outwards (on the stop).

2. The required reduced fan speed is then automatically reached by the valve.

Should the fan speed for fine seed be too low, the fan speed can be increased by turning the hand wheel as shown in table.

For machines without speed monitoring (Multitronic, Power control, ISO bus, ….) the hydraulic blower drive should be adjusted according to the following standard values:

A correctly adjusted hydraulic fan drive works in the following pressure ranges.

Warning!!!

In order to reach a constant fan speed all further users (blade pressure – gauge marking – preover running marking) should be reduced to the lowest oil amount for each application (adjustment according to the tractor)

Adjustment process for coarse seed

1. Completely turn the hand wheel (1) inwards (on the stop) to the control valve.

2. Set the oil volume lever on the tractor to the lowest flow amount – ca. 1/�

�. Set the fan in operation (motor speed for power take-off n = 1000 U/min)

4. Check blower speed. Indicator on display (D) For nominal speed see table. Checking to be done only

in operation heated conditions.

5. Gradually increase the oil volume to the tractor if the fan nominal speed is not reached.

If the required nominal speed is not reached in this way a further increase in the nominal speed can be reached only by removing individual adapter plates under the hand wheel (1) of the control valve.

6. Lower the motor speed to power take-off n = 850 U/min. At this speed the fan control (sound + light) may not respond; if it does then increase the oil volume to the tractor slightly (warning out)

Because of the priority switching of the hydraulic system, tractors with a lower hydraulic oil flow rate could suffer speed drop when lifting and turning the machine.

(Priority 1: steering, priority 2: lifting gear, etc)

Speed drop can- block seed lines (lifting the machine during travel

is necessary)

- subject the tail wheel to an unwanted speed variation

This problem can be remedied if a Load Sensing System operates the blower drive (Note: Tractor must have an LS System available).

Condition:- Drilling machine with blower monitoring (Multitronic,

Power Control, ISOBUS, ...)

- LS hydraulic system with own LS line on the tractor = � connection lines

To that the LS drive is fitted with an additional line (control line).

This line regulates a constant pressure difference between the LS and the P lines.

This will constantly keep the flow rate for this cycle and therefore the speed independent of other cycles. Furthermore, only the amount necessary for the hydraulic motor is delivered.

A bypass line that conducts the oil in a circle and consequent unnecessary heating is no longer required.

Cleaning of machine partsAttention! Do not use high-pressure washers for the

cleaning of bearing- and hydraulic parts.

- After cleaning, grease the machine according to the lubrication chart and carry out a short test run.

Replace worn or damaged hydraulic hoses immediately. The replacement hoses must meet the manufacturer’s technical requirements.

Hose lines are subject to natural ageing. The period of use should not exceed 5 – 6 years.

Winter storage- Thoroughly clean machine before storage.

- Put up protection against weather.

- Change or replenish gear oil.

- Protect exposed parts from rust.

- Lubricate all greasing points according to lubrication chart.

Recommendations for work safety All points refering to safety in this manual are indicated by this sign.

1.) Defined usea. See "Technical Data".

b. The keeping of operating, service and maintenance requirements layed down by the manufacturer also come under the heading of "defined use".

2.) Spare partsa. The original components and accessories have been designed

especially for these machines and appliances.

b. We want to make it quite clear that components and accesories that have not been supplied by us have not been tested by us.

c. The installation and/or use of such products can, therefore,

negatively change or influence the construction characteristics of the appliance. We are not liable for damages caused by the use of components and accessories that have not been supplied by us.

d. Alterations and the use of auxiliary parts that are not permitted by the manufacturer render all liability invalid.

3.) Protection devices All protection devices must remain on the machine and be

maintained in proper condition. Punctual replacement of worn and damaged covers is essential.

4.) Before starting worka. Before commencing work, the operator must be aware of all

operating devices and functions. The learning of these is too late after having already commenced operation!

b. The vehicle is to be tested for traffic and operating safety before each operation.

5.) Asbestos - Certain sub-supplied components of the

vehicle may contain asbestos due to technical reasons. Observe the warning on spare parts.

6.) Transport of persons prohibiteda. The transport of persons on the machine is not permitted.

b. The machine may only be driven on public roads when in the position stipulated for road transport.

7.) Driving ability with auxiliary equipment a. The towing vehicle is to be sufficiently equiped with weights at the

front or at the rear in order to guarantee the steering and braking capacity (a minimum of 20% of the vehicle’s tare weight on the front axle).

b. The driving ability is influenced by ground conditions and by the auxiliary equipment. The driving must be adapted to the corresponding terra in and ground conditions.

c. When driving through curves with a connected appliance, observe the radius and swinging mass of the appliance.

d. When travelling in a curve with attached or semimounted implements, take into account the working range and swing mass of the implement!

8.) General a. Before attaching implement to three-point linkage, move system

lever into a position whereby unintentional raising or lowering is ruled out!

b. Danger of injury exists when coupling implement to tractor!

c. Danger of injury through crushing and cutting exists in the three-point linkage area!

d. Do not stand between tractor and implement when using three-point linkage external operation!

e. Attach and detach drive shaft only when motor has stopped.

f. When transporting with raised implement, secure operating lever against lowering!

g. Before leaving tractor, lower attached implement to the ground and remove ignition key!

h. Nobody is to stand between tractor and implement without tractor being secured against rolling using parking brake and/or wheel chocks!

i. For all maintenance, service and modification work, turn driving motor off and remove universal drive.

9.) Cleaning the machine Do not use high-pressure washers for the cleaning of bearing- and

hydraulic parts.

Rules for workingNever exceed the maximum p. t. o. speed when using the implement.

- When the p.t.o. is switched off, the implement hitched up may not stop at once.

Do not go close to the implement until all motion has stopped; only then may work be done on it.

- When the implement ist parked, either remove the driveshaft and store it, or secure it with a chain. Do not use retaining chain (H) for this.

Maintenance

Replace worn-out covers/guards at once.

- Lubricate with a brand-name grease before starting work and every 8 hours worked.

- Before any extended period of non-use, clean and lubricate driveshaft.

For winter working, grease the tube guards, to avoid them freezing together.

Matching driveshaft to tractorTo determine the actual length required, hold the two halves of the driveshaft side by side.

Procedure for cutting to length- To determine length required, set implement in closest

working position (L2) to tractor, hold driveshaft halves side by side and mark off.

Important! • Note the maximum operating length (L1)

- Try to attain the greatest possible shaft over-lap (min. 1/2 X)!

• Shorten inside and outside tube guard by the same amount.

• Fit torque limiter (2) of drive shaft to implement end of driveshaft!

• Always check that drive shaft locks are securely engaged before starting work.

Retaining chain

- Use chain to prevent tube guard from rotating.

Take care that chain does not impede driveshaft pivoting.

How a cam type cut out safety clutch works

This overload clutch switches the torque transmitted to zero if overloaded. To revert to normal operation, stop the p.t.o. drive briefly.

The clutch reengages at a speed below 200 rpm.

IMPORTANT!Re-engaging is also possible by decreasing the p.t.o. r.p.m.

TAKE NOTE!The overload clutch on the driveshaft is not a “Full up” indicator. It is purely a torque limiter designed to protect the implement against damage.

Driving the right way will avoid triggering the clutch too often, and thus causing unnecessary wear on it and the implement.

Lubricating interval: 500 hrs (Special lubricant)

Important for driveshafts with friction clutch

Torque is limited with overloading and brief torque peaks and evenly transferred during slipping.

Prior to initial operation and after long periods out of use, check friction clutch for proprer function.

a.) Measure dimension „L“ at compression spring of K90, K90/4 and K94/1 or at set screw of K92Eand K92/4E.

b.) Loosen screws to release the pressure on the friction disk.

Slip the clutch.

c.) Tighten set screws to dimension „L“.

Combination of tractor and mounted implementThe mounting of implements on the front or rear three point linkage shall not result in exceeding the maximum permissible weight, the permissible axle loads and the tyre load carrying capacities ot the tractor. The front axle of the tractor must always to be loaded with at least 20 % of the unladen weight of the tractor.

Make sure before buying an implement that these conditions are fulfilled by carrying out the following calculations or by weighing the tractor/implement combination.
