PeopleSoft Applications are moving to a common look-and-feel that optimizes the user experience for end users. Currently, the PeopleSoft Fluid UI and the PeopleSoft Classic UI look different because they are separate interfaces developed with two different technologies in PeopleTools. To unify the user experience, PeopleSoft Classic UI will be modernized to align with the Fluid UI.

These UI style changes are called Classic Plus. Classic Plus and Fluid pages will still be developed using different technologies; while Classic Plus provides a modern UI, it will not make pages responsive or optimized for use on a mobile device. The Fluid UI continues to be the mobile solution for PeopleSoft.

Classic Plus technology will be delivered with PeopleTools 8.56 This continues to support our co-exist strategy where Classic and

Fluid pages will exist in the same PeopleSoft instance Classic pages will have to under-go minor alignment changes in

order to render properly with Classic Plus styles This is a natural progression, in PT 8.54 it was Classic or Fluid, in

8.55 it will co-exist but look different, and in 8.56 it is co-exist and look the same

Applications will update delivered pages to Classic Plus starting in 2017 in PeopleSoft Update Images (after Tools 8.56 is delivered)

There is a global ‘on or off’ switch to enable or disable Classic Plus so customers can upgrade PeopleTools to 8.56 without the Classic Plus impact
