People Care PDC (Permaculture Design Course) “Most permaculturists are expert at understanding the relationships between landforms

and water harvesting or between soil microorganisms and plant health.

But when it comes to our human relationships, we often founder. Nurturing the vegetables in the garden is a lot easier than nurturing our connections to the people

who decide where to plant the vegetables and who will water them.”

Becoming human is the cradle for sustainable living We increasingly recognize the vital

role of a healthy community in

addition to raising awareness of the

sustainable ecosystem. From our

perspective, nowadays social systems

need the same attention as the

ecosystem. The importance of effective

interpersonal connections and also the

relationship of the individual to him/

herself is obvious.

People Care PDC is devoted to facing

the social demands of our time

creatively and it offers practical

impetus to dealing with interpersonal

challenges both in the private and

professional environment. This is the

core for a healthy and supportive

community life in accordance with the

planet.

In this course permaculture tools and

principles that are usually used for

ecodesign will be used for designing

social system.  Practical exercises and

examples will help us to analyse and

strengthen the communication and

well-being within the community. The

course offers tools for communication,

conflict resolution, decision-making

processes, organic planning and

development processes.   The aim of

the course is to prepare and qualify the

participants for supporting and

developing their social environment in

communities, relationships, work and

project teams, schools or in their

families. The learning journey we are

travelling includes clarification and

purification of personal world-views

and develops  sensitivity. The learning

happens in a community what makes

the learning journey easier, deeper

and more joyful.

We are looking forward to starting the

journey of discovery with you.

Course content:

The course will be practically oriented and include theoretical reflections as well. Besides learning permaculture design the main focus will be on creating social system within the groups that supports learning and personal growth as well as community building. This will help us to understand group dynamics, blockages and possibilities to resolve conflicts, improve decision making strategies and to evolve collective intelligence.

The course includes I) the basics of Permaculture

• History of permaculture and its role in today's society

• Permaculture ethics and principles

• Basic Permaculture design for ecosystems (permaculture and its connection to ecosystems)

• Development and implementation of concrete designs for an ecosystem (for example garden, compost, animals, water)

II) Methods and practices for strengthening the social systems

• Preparation of social design according to the permaculture design tools (zoning, resource analysis, flows…).

• Making a personal design, design for a relationship, design for smaller and bigger groups

• Developing a strategy and ethics for implementation.

• Monitoring: analysis of results and preparation of the closure phase as well as the preparation for the start of a new cycle.

• Designing sustainability in a social system

• Disaster Design: How do you prepare for a collapse of the social system or

what can we do in the present time? What can we do for the future and how can we do it?

• Personal permaculture design: How can I recognize and use what is available to reach the best possible with lowest energy consumption and least impact on environment?

• Use of collective intelligence.

• Kung Fu of modern communication (don’t fight, create synergy).

• Dragon Dreaming Project Design: Introduction, dynamics and directions of social energies - Develop and implement a Dragon Dreaming Project Designs
