“ Come Holy Spirit”

I want to tell you that I have had many ideals and many dreams, but with the passage of

time, many things that have made me sick inside me: grudges, selfishness, nerv-ousness, jealousy, envy, sadness, ambi-tion, fatigue or disappointment. All that, little by little, I was taking away the joy of dreaming, of loving, of serving. Now, instead of fighting for a better world, what I am looking for is to be calm, not to bother me, to enjoy life. I know that's good too, but it pains me to have chilled my most beautiful dreams. That's why I ask you to come Holy Spirit. Come and give me back the desire to do good, to change something in this world; Renews in me the dream of a fraternal life and solidarity, the joy of serving and working with others. Come Holy Spirit, so that it stops to sur-vive and to return to live. Come, so that you can recover the joy and the desire to fight for great ideals. Come Holy Spirit. Amen."

Pentecostés (04Jun17) Los seres humanos fácilmente detecta-mos y resaltamos las diferencias entre las personas y los grupos humanos. Desde que somos pequeños, desarro-llamos esa capacidad de notar y resal-tar la diferencia. Ello nos ha llevado a acostumbrarnos a divisiones y clasifica-ciones sea como individuos, como gru-pos o como sociedades enteras. El Espíritu de Dios que nos regala Jesús, desde su cruz al resucitar, nos ayuda a construir unidad y comunión, sin uni-formar ni forzar la igualdad. El Espíritu de Dios se vale de nuestra capacidad de ver las diferencias, para llamarnos a construir comunión desde la diversi-dad. La naturaleza misma es un ejem-plo de diversidad en interdependencia y coordinación; en vez de ser destruida por nuestra mano, la naturaleza podría ser nuestra maestra en cómo vivir la unidad del Espíritu en la diversidad de lo humano. Pentecost – (4 June 2017)

Human beings easily detect and un-derline the differences between per-sons and human groups. Since we were toddlers we developed that sense of noting and underlining the difference. That made us used to di-visions and classifications of indi-viduals, groups and entire societies. The Spirit of God, gifted to us by Je-sus, from his cross through his resur-rection, helps us to build unity and communion, without uniformity or forced equality. God´s Spirit uses our ability to see the differences to help us to build communion amongst di-versity. Nature is an example of this diversity in interdependency and co-ordination. Instead of destroying it with our hands, nature could be our teacher in how to live in the unity of the Holy Spirit through the diversity of humanity.
