-Change Our World (Week 17)- “Finish the Race!”

Acts 19-20 As Paul concluded his second missionary journey he focused on finishing the race and completing the task the Lord Jesus had given him, the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. (Acts 20:34). May we also finish this race to change our world! Paul helped them know the power of God 1. Power of the Holy Spirit that lives in us – 19:2 2. Power to do extraordinary things 19:11-12 3. Power to give life back to one who died – 20:7-11 4. Power of giving – 20:35

Paul taught God’s word and it spread rapidly 1. Argued with the people persuasively about the kingdom

of God – 19:8 2. The word spread widely and grew in power – 19:22 3. Preached anything that would help them to grow – 20:20 4. Proclaimed the whole will of God – 20:27

Paul shepherded the people who received the message 1. Paul encouraged the new believers to stay the course – 20:1 2. Paul served the Lord with great humility and tears – 20:19 3. Kept watch over the flock – Protect, feed, etc. - 20:28 4. Was the shepherd of the church - 20:28-31
