Penney For Your Thoughts In Luke 18, we find the story of the woman who had been bent over for many years. This story touches each one of us in a number of different ways as we can all think of ways in which we are physically or otherwise ‘bent over’ ourselves. I have heard many stories over the past 10 years of ministry that so many people are ‘bent over.’ I think that it is good for us to be honest with ourselves when it comes to these issues and think of ways that we can help to share with others the ways in which we have found healing that Christ offers. Often these are things that we wish not to disclose with other people, and seek to lock away within the recesses of our minds not to focus on ever again. But as we begin to find the healing that Jesus offers us, we are able to stand up straight and begin to breath in deeply of the Holy Spirit. For in the gifts that God gives to each of us, we are able to find release from our burdens and the pains of life. We are able to hear those words of Jesus telling us to stand tall. Stand proud. Stand up straight. In doing so, we can find the power and presence of God to do mighty things in our lives. To which we can offer ourselves as testaments to what God can do, if we allow him the space to be at work. Updated COVID-19 Guidelines for Worship A hand sanitizer station is set up as you enter the building. Masks to be worn while entering, exiting the Sanctuary, talking, and singing. No shaking hands, hugging, fist bumping, etc. The offering plate is located in the front of the Sanctuary and in the Narthex for you to place your

tithes or offerings. Please do not linger in the Narthex or isles while carrying on conversations with others. We will be dismissing by sides to allow for less congested exiting. The building will continue to be thoroughly and carefully sanitized. The pews are prepared to honor safe distancing. We ask that you sit with your family and do all you can to honor a six-foot distance between others. Members are asked to stay at home if they feel symptomatic, running fever, or have had contact with someone who has

tested positive for COVID-19. Our morning services will be available on Facebook, barring any technical difficulties.

The Finance Committee decided in an attempt to help cut our expenditures in areas that we could, we would be refraining from mailing Quarterly Giving State-

ments. If you would like to get a copy of that statement, feel free to call the office and one will be provided at that time. If you have any questions please see Lynn Morris or Travis.
