Find Pokémon: An Interactive Game • Created an interactive game named “Find Pokémon” in Visual

Basic • Used Microsoft Visual Studio to create the game in VB syntax• The purpose of the game is to have the user find Pokémon in

one of the rooms at PenFed Chantilly Data Center• The user will get 5 chances to find the Pokémon and win the

game • Once the user find Pokemon, a display message will display the

text “Congratulations! You won!”• If the user fails to find Pokemon within 5 chances, a display

message will display the text “Sorry, you lost!” and the game will end

IT Application & Management• Was exposed to Penfed’s applications, business practices and banking system • Got an overview of Mainframe Application • Got to know about COBOL programming language• Went over how to navigate in Hogan • Went over SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook and the ticket processing system of PenFed commonly known as

Service Desk• Got an overview of ENCORE: Teller System

• How transactions such has deposits, withdrawals and payments are processed in the ENCORE system• How different kinds of holds are taken care of • Tested few test cases to verify hold scenarios after an update was made in Hogan

• Went over the products and services of PenFed Credit Union• Mortgage• Auto Loan • Credit Cards • Checking, Savings, IRA’s

• Went over the different environments of PenFed • Development• Q/A testing • Training • Production • Disaster Recovery• Mergers

• Went over Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)• Got to learn the difference between Agile & Waterfall

Assessment project• Got an overview of Change Management Process of PenFed

IT Application & Management • Went over web development at PenFed • Attachmate Verastream Bridge Integrator: A software that connects the front end

side to Hogan • The software is used to connect Hogan and Mainframe integration • If a user inputs in the front end, that form is updated in Hogan by Attachmate Bridge software

• Got to learn the difference between client side and server side scripting languages• HTML, CSS, JavaScript - client side• ASP, C#, .NET - server side

• Got exposed to .NET framework • .NET programming languages

• C#, Visual C#• Visual Basic.NET• COBOL

• Learned Visual Basic and how to use Microsoft Visual Studio • Created an interactive game in Visual Studio using VB syntax• Created an auto loan payment calculator in Visual Studio using VB syntax

Project: Portfolio Health Assessment• Provide a comprehensive list of systems in PenFed’s

Technology Portfolio• Provide an assessment (technical, business ,operational) of

each system in PenFed’s Technology Portfolio • Provide real time interactive dashboards/reports that allow

users (IT, business ,etc.) to view the current and historic status of PenFed’s Technology Portfolio• Provide a mechanism for users (IT, business ,etc) to update the

assessment of any systems in PenFed’s Technology Portfolio

Project: Portfolio Health Assessment• Used Salesforce to create the app which will determine the

health of all the systems of PenFed • Used Salesforce to create business, technical and operational

assessment of each system of PenFed• Used Salesforce to create reports and dashboard which will

allow users to view the current status of all the systems of PenFed• The user will also be able to update the assessment of any

system in PenFed’s Technology Portfolio • Used Salesforce to create a lookup relation between the

systems and domains of PenFed by establishing a relational database

Project: Auto Loan Payment Calculator• Created an auto loan payment calculator in Visual Basic • Used Microsoft Visual Studio to create the application in VB syntax• The purpose of the application is to calculate the monthly payment

of an auto loan • The user has the option of choosing loan type between new and old • The user needs to enter the loan amount and select the loan term

between 36,48,60 and 72 months • The interest rate will vary depending on the loan type, loan amount

and the loan term • Once the user hit the calculate button, the calculator will generate

the monthly payment of the user’s auto loan based on the user’s input on loan type, loan amount and loan term
