Pendulum Choir: Artists André andMichel Décosterd Translate SoundInto Movement (VIDEO)

For anyone who has ever begrudgingly joined a choir, we humbly present the mostbizarrely beautiful choral-based artwork we have ever experienced.

Swedish artists André and Michel Décosterd honed their musical and engineeringskills to create Pendulum Choir, a nine-man choir that rotates and swings inaccordance to the sounds they produce. The artists, who work together under thename Cod.Act, attached each member of their vocal group to a hydraulic jack thatreacts to their individual sound production.

How did the talented duo garner the experience to pull off such a feat? André is amusician, composer and sound plastician, and Michel is an architect and plastician aswell. Together they've crafted a futuristic mechanical dance where bodies tilt andswivel at extreme angles, constantly at the brink of collision yet remaining unharmed.
