Step 1: Preparing for Your Portraits...GUYSWear a short sleeve t-shirt (any colour – NO collars, hoods or long sleeves). We supply shirts, ties, caps and gowns. Be freshly shaven – avoid November facial hair.

GIRLSWear something with short sleeves, no collar and a low neck line that won't show underneath (scoop neck tops, tank tops, etc.). Regular T-shirts have a neck that is too high.

HAIRGirls–Save the Big Hair Job for the Prom! Each year, many retakes are due to failed attempts at big hair makeovers. Your natural look is always the best bet. Thinking of a dramatic colour change? DON’T! Have a session with your natural look, then do a re-take with the new changes. Also, don’t wear glitter on face or eyes!

EYEGLASSESAnti-glare lenses are fine, or borrow a pair of empty frames from your optician so glare won’t obscure your eyes. Or, we can take extra photos without glasses and retouch the eyes back for $20.

BLEMISH RETOUCHINGAll your finished portraits will be fully retouched, so don’t worry about blemishes. When you place your order, tell us what retouching you need to have done.

BRACESYes! We can remove braces, too. Retouching teeth is very difficult, but the results look perfectly natural. There will be a one-time charge of $40 per pose selected.

Step 2: The Photo SessionMany photos will be taken during your session! Starting with no cap, cap, alternate backgrounds, casual poses, and a variety of expressions, you will have lots to choose from. 16 of the best will be chosen by us and posted to our web site for you to view. Choose your favourite(s), then decide what you need to order for family and friends.

$20+tax Preview Fee (pay on photo day)

If you ONLY want your photo taken for the yearbook, there is NO CHARGE for taking your grad portrait. Please tell us this when booking.

BUT, if you want a full session and intend to buy portraits, we charge a $20 Preview Fee, paid on photo day to prepare your portrait previews and post them to our website (www.stuartbish.com). If you can’t pay on photo day, you can still have a full session, but they won’t be posted to the website until paid. If you only want the yearbook photo taken, we choose the best one.

Re-Takes - $30If you are not satisfied, call us immediately and you will be assigned a re-take time. Many exposures will be taken and re-takes shouldn’t be required. In the event of technical problems on our part, retakes are no charge.

The Personality Portrait ExperienceWhat is it?A personality portrait is for those who are looking for more than the standard cap and gown grad portrait. It is meant to express who you are; your personality, likes, hobbies, interests, future plans, beliefs, etc.

Before your Session.A consultation time will be booked with Stuart to discuss your portrait session, and what products you may be interested in purchasing. Knowing this will help guide Stuart to style your session and capture the perfect images.

During your Session.Personality Portrait sessions are meant to be fun. Each graduate is provided with the time and attention needed to create a truly great portrait. Stuart is very skilled at helping his subjects feel relaxed and comfortable. He will ensure you look your very best. Many photos will be taken. Relax and enjoy yourself!

After your Session.An appointment will be made at the end of your session for you to come back to see and select from the many images taken. Stuart will help you narrow down your favourites and walk you through the ordering process.
