Corporate History

Founded in 1992 by Michele Wilson and Vicky Carver, PEI Logistics began as a small air freight

forwarding company in Atlanta, GA. Innovators but not risk-takers, we think outside the box

while assessing the most reliable ways to make our customers successful. As a truckload carrier,

truck brokers and air freight forwarders we specialize in delivering the best solutions available—

especially the “never been done before” challenges.

We are gratified that a diligent, straightforward approach to business is as rewarding to our

clients and vendors as it is to us. Our grassroots company, which has grown primarily through

referrals, is now a multimillion-dollar enterprise. Today, we take pride in our ability to provide

custom logistics and shipping services to clients nationwide.

PEI’s niche exists in providing non-standard, critical shipping solutions. We have been

instrumental in managing the supply chain within industries including: pharmaceuticals, aircraft,

medical, automotive, and have extensive experience in managing tradeshow transportation.

In the tradeshow business time is -- quite literally -- money. It's more than a metaphor. That's

why experienced planners and shippers rely on the seasoned professionals at PEI. We work with

you -- before the show, on the show floor and during load out -- all the way through the post-

show paperwork to keep you on schedule and on budget.

Council, a partner in the network of certifying organizations with the Women's Business

Enterprise National Council.

PEI is a SmartWay certified transportation partner. In its simplest form, the SmartWay brand

identifies products and services that reduce transportation-related emissions. However, the

impact of the brand is much greater as the SmartWay brand signifies a partnership among

government, business and consumers to protect our environment, reduce fuel consumption,

and improve our air quality for future generations.

Leadership

Victoria Sparks - CEO and Co-founder PEI Logistics, Vice President & Co- founder PEI, Inc.

Throughout her 25 years of experience in the transportation industry Victoria has been

instrumental in securing partnerships and managing relationships with companies such as IBM,

Boeing , AT&T, Hewlett Packard, Novartis, Home Depot, Verizon, Lockheed Martin, etc. Victoria

has a profound ability to easily identify customer needs, and design unique solutions which can

be deployed quickly to improve specific supply chain metrics. As co-founder and CEO Victoria is

responsible for guiding the culture of PEI which calls for humility, service, hard work, and

positivity. Victoria is very committed to growth personally, professionally and spiritually. As a

business owner she wants to insure an enriched, exciting work environment where her

employees can achieve their goals.

Michele Wilson- CEO and Co-founder PEI, Inc., Co-founder and Vice President PEI Logistics

Michele started her career in air freight forwarding in 1987. With an extensive background in

operations Michele set a goal to expand services to grow PEI into a full service logistics provider.

In 1997 Michele began brokering truckloads, and due to customer demand for truckload

services established PEI, Inc. in 1998 as an asset based motor carrier. Her extensive focus on

tradeshows and event transportation has afforded PEI recognition as an industry leader in

tradeshow transportation, as well as a nomination for TSEA’s 2009 “Transportation Vendor of

the Year”. Michele contributes our growth and success to meeting and exceeding our

customer’s unique requirements, by refusing to remain “status quo” and by continuously

seeking innovative options and solutions to strengthen our partnerships with customers and

vendors. Michele’s definition of leadership is service to her community and employees. She is

co-founder of Paradise Empowers, a 501(c)(3) organization that gives back to the community by

sponsoring programs which empower children worldwide.

Jay Patterson- Executive Director

Jay’s air freight career began in local cartage in 1985. After two years Jay made the transition to

air freight forwarding operations. Serving 4 years as Operations and Terminal Manager for

Imperial Air Freight and 5 years as International Gateway Manager for Eden Air Freight prepared

Jay for his current position with PEI. Jay Patterson joined PEI in 1994 and quickly proved himself

to be a valuable asset to the organization which led to sequential promotions to operations

manager, terminal manager, and eventually Executive Director of corporate operations. Outside

of work Jay enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife Marcy and son Jake.
