Payroll Self Service via Pegasus Web XchangeEmpower employees and reduce HR costs
Pegasus Web Xchange offers the ability to securelyaccess and view Opera 3 data via a web browser.Using Pegasus Web Xchange, Payroll Self Service*offers employees online access to payslips, P60s,pension information, personal details andholiday entitlement.
With Payroll Self Service you can significantly reduce the cost ofprinting and posting payslips. What’s more, you can save admin timeas Payroll Self Service empowers employees to check and update some of their own information.Employees don’t need to be users of Opera 3 to access their data.
Timesheets via Pegasus Web XchangeEmpower employees and ease the burden on the Payroll team
Using Pegasus Web Xchange, Timesheets* integrates with Opera 3 Payroll & HRand allows employees to enter their timesheets from any location, using theirdevice of choice, and submit them for approval. Once approved, timesheets canbe passed to Opera 3 Payroll for inclusion in the next payroll run.
With a timesheet entry facility that’s integral to Opera 3, there’s no more need forthe payroll team to import timesheets in spreadsheet format every time they perform a payroll run.Consequently, admin time and the possibility of error are significantly reduced.Credit Management Centre
Manage customer debt effectively to help improve cash flow
The Credit Management Centre* is a centralised, easy-to-use tool whichconsolidates all of the information needed for effective credit control. You canquickly see what is owed, who owes it and how much money has been promisedby customers, with easy-to-understand, real-time graphs displaying your overallfinancial status. In addition, the Debt Management feature can help you get paidfaster by improving communication with your customers, as it allows you tocreate up to nine levels of debt correspondence and e-mail or print them.
All of which will help you improve cash flow, reduce bad debts and improve your financial position.
E-mail payslips and P60sReduce the cost and admin time of running your payroll
Opera 3 Payroll offers the option to e-mail payslips and P60s to employees. This feature comes as standard and can make paper payslips and P60s a thingof the past. You’ll no longer need to procure the relevant forms or incurpostage costs; at the click of a button, payslips and P60s can be delivered tothe employee’s inbox as a password-protected PDF document. Printedpayslips, or a combination of the two, can also be produced.

Export Opera 3 reports to ExcelFor improved reporting and analysis
You can export over 60 Opera 3 reports directly to MS Excel so you can analyse,manipulate and report on your data using an interface you’re familiar with. This applies both to standard reports and to those created in the Reporterapplication. You can run multiple reports at the same time, and they can stayopen as you navigate to other areas of the system. You can minimise one andopen another, or tile them on screen. This feature comes as standard when you upgrade to Opera 3.
Error correction in the LedgersSimplify corrections in the ledgers
We all make mistakes, but we don’t want to spend lots of time correcting them.In Opera 3 Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger, a user-friendly wizard allows you toeasily correct mis-allocated transactions, and you can also remove the associatedtransactions, such as a Sales Receipt or a Purchase Payment. In Opera 3 Nominal Ledger, the Rectify feature allows you to re-post journals thatmay have been posted to the wrong account or date. What’s more, errorcorrection functionality comes as standard when you upgrade to Opera 3.
Open Period AccountingFlexibility to post in past and future periods
If you want more flexibility in your financials, Opera 3 is for you. You cancreate calendars for the current and up to 3 future financial years, and posttransactions to any period marked as “open”, either directly or from otherOpera 3 applications such as the Sales and Purchase Ledgers. For completecontrol and flexibility, you can also post into the previous financial year fromthe Nominal Ledger.

Salary sacrificeLessen the impact of pension contributions
Salary sacrifice is becoming increasingly popular with employers, as it can befinancially beneficial to both employers and employees. Opera 3 Payroll calculatesboth percentage-based and value-based salary sacrifices automatically, so it cancater for both pension-related and non-pension salary sacrifice schemes. Salarysacrifice functionality comes as standard with Opera 3 Payroll.

StocktakeKeep accurate stock levels
It’s crucial to have up-to-date information on your stock levels in order tomeet customer demand and optimise the production process. The Stocktakeapplication* extracts stock items from Opera 3 so that they can be allocatedto worksheets and counted. On completion of the stocktake, you can run across-check and make corrections and adjustments that can be posted backinto Opera 3 to update stock levels.
Landed CostsFor an accurate valuation of your stock costs
Landed costs are the additional costs incurred in getting goods you purchasefrom your supplier to your premises such as freight, insurance, and possiblycustoms duties and other taxes that may be levied on a shipment. Opera 3 allowsyou to define landed cost elements and assign them to stock items, so that, byknowing both the purchase price and the landed costs of your stock, you canaccurately identify its true cost and protect your profit margin.

With NotificationServices, you can force a shutdown, perform a lockout of Opera 3 users or send amessage to users at the same time as scheduling a task.
