components and production technologies. The improved price-performance ratio, combined with the service
and stability of the Stork Prints organization, is the perfect solution for high-quality and reliable printing.
New standards
The new Pegasus EVO can be used both as a closed bearing machine and as an open-bearing machine,
from narrow-width to wide-width. Different kinds of squeegee systems can be mounted, like blade or roller,
depending on customer demands. This flexibility, combined with Stork Prints’ new state-of-the-art
servo-based control system and the possibility of remote diagnostics, is setting new standards in rotary
screen printing.
Reliability
Stork Prints has been supplying screen technology and equipment for the textile rotary screen market
since 1963. Although markets have
changed and new innovations have
been introduced, Stork Prints has
always been a stable factor. Our
extensive experience in rotary screen
printing, our financially healthy and
stable organization and our
excellent service all ensure perfect
printing results - now and in the far
future.

Closed bearing
The Pegasus incorporates
a closed bearing system
that can be fitted with either
blade or roller squeegees.
What is unique for the
Pegasus EVO is that both
squeegee types can be
combined in a single
position. This gives the
utmost printing flexibility, and
is ideal for optimizing effects
like half tones, fine lines and
blodges.
Open bearing
An open bearing system is
also possible, especially for
wide-width printing machines in combination with a magnet roller squeegee. The machine is set-up with a
pre-assembled screen and squeegee system for fast, safe and easy handling of a design or colour-way change.
Blade squeegee
The blade squeegee is a sophisticated squeegee system which can be used in the widest range of applications
for halftones, fine lines and blotches. The amount of paste is determined by the squeegee blade in combination
with the angle, and can be altered during production. These squeegee types reduce paste consumption and
pinholes because of the striking action, and increase colour brilliancy. The screen-life is increased because there
is less friction between screen and squeegee.
Magnet roller squeegee
The magnet roller squeegee is also a user-friendly system, and is mainly used for wide-width printing. The
amount of paste is determined by the roll diameter and the magnetic force, which is adjustable for each
individual printing position.
Permanent magnet beams:
Permanent magnet beams are the most stable type of magnet beams. Their variable magnetic force is set by
adjusting the height of the inner beam with the permanent magnets. These magnets do not require electricity to
build up their magnetic force, which means no heat generation. It also eliminates beam deformation, resulting in
superior printing quality.
When developing the state-of-the-art electronic control
system used in the Pegasus EVO, we called on our decades
of experience in the textile printing industry to apply the
most appropriate technology.
The machine is equipped with a servo-motor for each
position to improve accuracy still further. Each position
can be adjusted individually, and can be set high or low.
This ensures the highest printing quality, combined with an
excellent efficiency and therefore minimum waste. Lateral
and diagonal repeat can be adjusted electronically as well.
All electronic communication in the machine runs through
a bus-communication system. This highly-sophisticated
approach reduces the amount of cabling in the machine and
therefore also reduces the chance of malfunction.
To improve the ease of operation, every printing position is
equipped with an intuitive touch panel on both sides of the
machine. In this way, the repeat settings, squeegee/magnet
force and colour pump settings can be adjusted with ease.
The main control panel is also touch-operated, and is
connected to an industrial PC. The user interface of the
touch panel is self-explanatory, and can be operated without
extensive training. Not only can various recipes be stored,
but all relevant system information can be retrieved too.
Service settings can be locked in a way that only authorized
personnel can change them.
If required, we can access the machine remotely. Software
and settings can be analyzed and if required, changed. This
can even be carried out during a normal production run, to
ensure any issues are resolved immediately and productivity
therefore remains high.

In-feed & substrate guiding systems
Several in-feed and substrate guiding systems are available; for use with eve-
rything from simple woven substrates to more complicated textiles like knits
which contain Lycra.
Dust extraction
We supply a variety of systems to remove dust or lint from the substrate, the-
refore ensuring optimum printing quality. You can choose the dust extraction
system best suited to the specific requirements of your substrates.
Gluing device
The gluing device is an efficient system for applying adhesive, and has been
specially developed for the Pegasus EVO. The glueing device has a fully
automatic thickness control by airflow squeegee to maintain the correct glue
thickness, independent of the speed. The thickness and width of the adhesive
can be accurately set, and the gluing device is also easy to clean.
Blanket washer
The blanket washer is a standard feature and consists of a scraping squeegee
with a spray pipe, two rotating brushes, a spray pipe for clean water and dry
scraping squeegees. Both sides of the squeegee can be used, which doubles
their effective lifespan. The blanket washer can easily be removed from under
the printing machine to facilitate cleaning.
Rewinding unit
For greater convenience when rewinding your printed fabric, you can choose
between a batcher or a plaiter, all depending on your internal logistics.

Roller squeegee
Thermoplast adhesive system
The thermoplast adhesive system includes a special speed-sensitive infra-red device to heat the blanket and
thermoplast evenly. For an optimum gluing result the substrate is preheated on the curved heated plate. In this
way, synthetic substrates can be printed with the highest accuracy. All tools for applying and removing the
thermoplast are supplied as standard.
Repeats
In addition to the 640 mm repeat - the world’s most widely used - 819 mm, 914 mm and 1018 mm repeats
are also available.
Pump water savings package
The pumps and tubes are initially washed by means of recycled water and then rinsed with fresh water. This
fresh water will again be re-used as recycled water. This saves considerable amounts of fresh water, which
lessens the environmental impact and also lowers your operational costs.
Blanket water savings package
You can drastically reduce the amount of water required when using the blanket water saving package.
It consists of a pump unit with filter that allows water in the blanket washer to be recycled. Clean water is
only required for rinsing. This also makes a significant contribution to a better environment while
lowering your operating costs.

The Stork Prints Apollo is a high-efficiency drying unit that enables rapid and uniform drying of cloth widths
ranging from 1850 to 3250 mm. Its extremely economical performance means that a minimal amount of energy
is required to perform the drying operation, and its compact footprint takes up little floor space. In addition,
compatibility with several fuel types allows the Apollo to integrate easily into your existing facilities.
Exceptional drying efficiency
The Apollo is characterized by extremely high efficiency in drying. As much air as possible is re-circulated, and
a high velocity is achieved in the direct vicinity of the cloth by blowing jets of air directly onto it from both above
and below. The optimum amount of air is extracted to achieve maximum evaporation and a steady outflow
across the full width of the dryer, while keeping power consumption low.
Less room required
Another significant advantage of this high efficiency is a saving in floor space. The Apollo consists of a
series of pre-assembled sections, and you specify the number you need to match your drying requirements.
Configurations can be made up of one to five sections, depending on the intended use and desired
evaporation rate.
In many cases, fewer sections are required than with competitor drying systems; therefore you need less
room in your plant. Being more compact also means there is less cloth inside the dryer, so inspection and
adjustment can take place at an earlier stage, which increases process efficiency. The Apollo’s modest
dimensions enable greater flexibility in configuration as well: the units are only 2.75 m high, and can therefore
be installed on an upper floor.
Quick installation
The modular nature of the Apollo also drastically reduces installation time, as the pre-assembled sections
are easily joined together on-site. All sections fit into standard sea-freight containers to simplify shipping and
reduce delivery costs. Once in use, the Apollo requires a minimum of maintenance, and the air nozzles can
be removed from the dryer for easy cleaning. It is also extremely easy to use the Apollo. All functions can be
accessed on the dryer itself, which simplifies and speeds up control.
Choice of heating methods
The Apollo can be heated using steam or thermal oil, as well as directly using gas. This flexibility gives you the
option of selecting the method most suitable for your plant. When steam or thermal oil is used, the air in the
dryer is heated by a heat exchanger. With gas, the Apollo has a built-in burner over which the air passes and
heats up. The gas supply is controlled proportionally, and is accurate and efficient. The high turndown ratio
(20:1) allows quick heating while offering the possibility to operate at a very low energy level for substrates
sensitive to heat. In this way the Apollo is suitable for drying many different types of substrate.

Apollo dryer Options
The functionality of the Apollo can be extended through a number of options:
• Underside drying function with adjustable conveyor height. To prevent smudges on the conveyor belt caused by
paste from the underside of the substrate, the conveyor is lowered in the first section of the Apollo and the
substrate is dried from the underside before coming into contact with the conveyor belt.
• Integrated fixation zone. An integrated fixation zone can be added to enable the fixation of pigment dyestuffs.
The fixation time is adjustable and independent of the line speed. This eliminates the need for an extra fixation
process.
• An optional washing unit is available to clean the conveyor belt in a separate washing cycle.
• Variable speed control for circulation fans.
• Variable speed control for exhaust fan.
• Temperature control for steam/oil heating.
