9 Read the following article about Rentaro Taki.

たき れ ん た ろ う さっきょくたき

滝　廉太郎は、有名な　作曲家です。滝は、1879年　8月　24日に　東京で　

生まれました。八人兄弟の　長男でした。子どもの時、何回も　ひっこしをか な が わ と や ま

しました。神奈川県、富山県と、東京の小学校に　行きました。小学校をさっきょく

そつぎょうしてから、東京の　音楽学校に　行きました。ピアノと　作曲を

勉強しました。1900年に　クリスチャンに　なりました。

たきさっきょく

滝は、西洋風の　うたを　作曲しました。日本人で　はじめてでしたから、

有名に　なりました。有名な　うたは、「お正月」や　「花」などです。こうじょうたき

「荒城の月」は　ヨーロッパで　さんびかに　なりました。滝は、1901年に

ドイツへ　りゅうがくしました。

しかし、病気に　なりましたから、1902年に　日本へ　帰りました。1903年
