INTRODUCTION BY THE CHAIR

Peace Child Estonia is a new organisation as it was started only at 23rd of February 2009, but it is already a growing organisation with a

developing programme and a motivated staff committed to developing the organisation. The membership numbers are increasing and the content

continues to take on a more specific structure and shape. The beginning of our work focused on expanding from already existing cooperation

structures with Peace Child International and Sillamäe Society for Child Welfare, but as the year progressed, the focus shifted towards

developing and implementing Peace Child Estonia-led projects.

The Peace Child Estonia staff had a productive year and are looking forward to many more years of activity. As we go into 2010, we look

forward to the conclusion of Peace Child Alpha Omega - a culture cooperation project between the UK, Estonia and Turkey – and writing new

and captivating projects. Present programs of active citizenship and intercultural dialogue will be continued and new programs on gender

equality, being a volunteer and others will be developed.

Activities:
