JOULES manufactures high quality Cargo Baskets for offshore &onshore uses, Containers, Skips and Personnel caravans. Theseare built in conformity with DNV 2.7 1 and BS EN 12079 1(Design, manufacture and marketing of Offshore Containers)standards. We design and build these structures to have specialpad eyes and are supplied pre-slung with shackles. At JOULES,we ensure at all times that slings used are manufactured toBS EN 12079 2 (Design, manufacture and marketing of liftingsets) standards. Containers leased out to clients are periodicallychecked and maintained to BS EN 12079 3 standards.

We have the capability to supply our clients Full sized coveredContainers, Full sized open Containers (Dimensions are built toclient specifications), Chemical Transit tanks, Compactor Units,Gas Bottle Racks and Skips of all specifications. Our productscould be subjected to various tests in line with the “Guidelinesfor the Approval of Offshore Containers” released in May, 1998and subsequent revisions by the International MaritimeOrganization.

Cathodic Protection Services:JOULES

partner with ERGIL Group (ERGILCorrosion Control) to deliver uniquely designed, engineered andmanufactured CP Systems. ERGIL is ISO 9001:2000 certified andhas over 25 years industry experience. Our CP Technique deploysthe use of Galvanic or Sacrificial Anodes made in various shapesusing alloys of Mg, Zn and Al. The electrochemical potential ofthese alloys in a CP cell is more than that of Iron. However, forlarger structures, Galvanic Anodes cannot deliver enough currentto provide complete protection economically. The system is thusdesigned to use a cathodic protection rectifier (An ImpressedCurrent Cathodic Protection) to solve the problem.

Facility Description - Overview JOULES Today

Our base office at Km 16 Port Harcourt/ Aba expressway is locatedwithin SUNATECH yard which comprises of a three storey administrative building(With about 60 offices). Other sister firms are equally located within this complex. The FabWorkshop has dimensions of about 60m x 14.5m x 13.5m. Beside the shop we have a closed &open Blasting & Painting Bay and an Electrical/ Mechanical Maintenance workshop. TheWarehouse building is linked to the main complex. An open material stacking area is equallyavailable for heavy steel materials.The facility is about 4,733 Sq/m and is readily accessible from both T-Amadi IndustrialLayout and Onne by road. We have established technical agreements with two localfirms with Jetty facilities both in Port Harcourt and in Calabar for the use of the facilitieswhenever the need arises.

The Fabrication Workshop is an enclosed structure open at the East, West and the Southwings permitting free flow of air and easy movement of materials and the load out offinished fabricated structures. The workshop is a covered structure having an overheadcrane of 40 tons safe load capacity and 10 tons auxiliary capacity. This overhead cranecan run the whole span of the workshop's length.

Installed within the workshop are various equipments and tools to automate most of ourworkshop processes. These include a Lathe Machine, 8mm Hydraulic Industrial PlateShearing Machine, 8mm Hydraulic Press/ Bending Machine Electric Boring/ DrillingMachine, Pipe Bending Machine (Electric & Hydraulic), Cutting Machine, 300 - 600 ampsElectric Welding Machines (Single module, 8 Packs and 6 Packs Miller Welding Machines,Diesel Powered Welding Machines, 300 - 1400 cfm Air Compressors 2 - 65 tons Forklifts,

65 tons Motorized Crane, Airless Spraying machines & Blasting pots, Electrode Ovens andQuivers, Power Generators (60 - 500 kva), Trucks etc. The fabrication shop is ideal for thefabrication of deck sections, boat landings, skid frames, tanks and several other structuralcomponents.
