Thank you for using PDF Page Numberer Batch 3, to start the program:-1. Open a PDF document you wish to page number in Adobe Acrobat2. Click on 'Plug-Ins' menu

3. Click on 'Page Numberer Batch'4. Select the options you require then click on 'Apply Text'

Batching Capabilities

sing batch list can dramatically reduce time you would usually spend manually page numbering eachndividual file, to go into batch mode click on the Menu then click Batch & Prepare a list, the box like

) Use windows drag and drop, i.e. open windows explorer and select the files you wish to add and drhem into the list window.

) Scan your hard disks for pdf files and add them in one quick swoop, to do this click Menu --> File -can for files, then select a directory to add and all pdf's under that directory + subdirectories will becanned also.

ou can also re-order the list by pressing 'a' or 'z' keys, or right mouse on the item to move files up anown the list.

ow you can save, load or append a previous list from the file menu.

To process the list click 'Close' and Apply Text button or Process List from the menu.

ote: the list is also autosaved to a file called c:\default.lst

Q. How do I output just one page number ?

A. Check 'no page numbers just text' checkbox, also remove the '/' in the separate withThe output will be Page 1, Page 2 etc etc

Q. I get an object error on a certain pageA. This is probably a problem with the creation of the pdf, save the pdf as a .ps (postscript file) te-create a new pdf with Distiller/Acrobat then try again.

Q. How do I output page x of y ?A. Check 'no page numbers just text', in end with edit box put 'y' e.g. 100, then change the pageumbering to start with to 'x' e.g. 51

The output will be Page 51 / 100, Page 52 / 100, Page 53 / 100 etc etc

Q. I have different orientation pages in my pdf but the text comes out sideways on, how dtop this ?

A. Turn on 'Force portrait text when landscape' tick box.

Q. What does the mask do and what do I type in the box ?A. The mask parameter changes page number sizes to the size typed in the box,.g. say if you had 5 pages, normally they would be numbered 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 & 5/5

with a masking value of 4, those would become 0001/0005, 0002/0005, 0003/0005, 0004/0005 &005/0005

Q. What's the difference between 2up numbering and A/B 2-Up numbering ?

A. Their are 2 different ways of doing a 2-Up, the 2-Up numbering option is over the amount ofages, e.g. if you had 6 pages then they would be numbered like this: Page 1/6, Page 4/6, Page 2/6,age 5/6, Page 3/6 & Page 6/6.

The A/B 2-Up numbering option would be numbered like this: Page 1/6, Page 3/6, Page 5/6, Page 2/6age 4/6 & Page 6/6

NOTE: if you have an odd number of pages then the split is always rounded upwards.

Q. What does the "Only page number 1 in nth" parameter do ?A. Say you want to only page number every 1 in 2 pages, so putting 2 into the parameter box over

page document would stamp pages 1,3 & 5 with a page count of 1,2,3
