PDEA 6 ANTI-DRUG OPERATIONS

6 Suspects Arrested in Bacolod Drug-bust

A team comprising of agents from PDEA-Negros Occidental, Special Enforcement Team and PDEA-Iloilo implemented Search Warrant No. 026-2019 at Purok Sibucao, Brgy. Banago Bacolod City which resulted to the arrests of Jennifer Gonzaga Magbanua aka “Inday Quiatchon”, Nerra Belarmino Acibug, Franklin Montalvo Belecina, Risty John Madernal Miravelence, Ludovico Mahilum Sagal and Nilo Boy Hibales Arcenio last August 3, 2019 at 6:45 PM.

Confiscated during the operation were 11 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 45 grams with an estimated value of Php306,000.00.

Cases for violation of Sections 6, 7, 11, 12 and 15 of Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared for filing in court.

High-Value Target Caught in Silay City Negros Occidental

Joint operatives from PDEA-Negros Occidental Team, Special Enforcement Team and PDEA-Iloilo confiscated MOL 30 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of Php 204,000.

Arrested was Jaime Flores Gucio, a High-Value Target and member of Michael Divinagracia (sub-group member) earlier today, August 5, 2019 at around 3:30 PM during a drug-bust conducted at Brgy. Bagtic Silay City, Negros Occidental.

The suspect will face charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Art II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Suspect Busted in Joint PNP-PDEA Ops in Kalibo

Agents from the PDEA RO VI Aklan Provincial Office, Aklan PDEU, Kalibo MPS, Aklan HPG, and Aklan PIB conducted joint buy-bust operation late this afternoon, August 8, 2019 at around 5:10 PM.

The said drug bust resulted to the arrest of Efren Delos Santos Villanueva alias "Alas" and the confiscation of suspected shabu weighing MOL 2 grams.

Villanueva will face charges for violation of Section 5, Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PNP and PDEA Agents Bust Pusher in Pototan

Joint elements of the PDEA Iloilo Provincial Office Team, Iloilo Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Pototan Municipal Police Station conducted buy-bust operation last night at around 9:30 PM, August 9, 2019 at Brgy. Polot-an, Pototan Iloilo.

A 17-year old minor, a resident of Brgy. Cato-ogan of the same municipality, was rescued and MOL 0.5 grams of suspected shabu was confiscated from his possession.

Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared for filing in court.

Joint PDEA and PNP Operatives Nail 2 Pushers in San Rafael

Joint operatives from Iloilo Police Provincial Office Drug Enforcement Unit (IPPO-PDEU), San Rafael and Sara Municipal Police Stations and PDEA Iloilo Provincial Office Team, conducted buy-bust operation yesterday at 9:00 PM, August 10, 2019 at Brgy. Poblacion, San Rafael, Iloilo. Rambo Bruno De Asis and Jean Macalde Flores were arrested and suspected shabu weighing MOL 6 grams were confiscated. The two suspects will face charges for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 26 of Art. II, RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PNP and PDEA-Capiz Team Busts Pusher in Pontevedra

Joint elements from the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station, Drug Enforcement Unit, Special Drug Enforcement Team and PDEA Capiz Provincial Office conducted buy-bust operation yesterday, August 12, 2019 at 7:20 PM at Brgy. Lantangan, Pontevedra, Capiz.

The drug bust resulted to the arrest of Eduardo Baculinao Bermejo and the confiscation of MOL 1 gram of suspected shabu.

Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared for filing in court.

Another Pusher Nabbed in Panitan, Capiz

Joint operation was conducted early today, August 13, 2019 at 12:03 AM at Brgy. Salocon, Panitan Capiz, by Capiz Provincial Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit, Panitan Municipal Police Station and PDEA-Capiz Team where Cydfred Vinegas Tomasa was arrested in a buy-bust.

Confiscated during the operation was MOL 0.5 grams of suspected shabu and cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Art. II, RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared for filing in court.

Marijuana Pusher Busted Anew in Malay, Aklan

Joint operatives from the Malay Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Team, 2nd Aklan PMFC and PDEA-Aklan conducted buy-bust operation last night at 9:00 PM, August 14, 2019 at Brgy. Poblacion, Malay Aklan.

The drug bust resulted to the arrest of Mar Sarceno Prado and confiscation of MOL 1 gram of marijuana worth Php 920.00.

A case for violation of Section 5, Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is now being prepared for filing in court.

PDEA-6 Operatives Dismantle Another Drug Den in San Carlos City

Agents from PDEA-6 led by Iloilo Provincial Office IA-III Cornelio C. Espartero, Jr., together with Capiz, Negros Occidental and Special Enforcement Teams and PDEA-7 team NORPO under the direct supervision of PDEA-6 Officer-in-Charge Alex M. Tablate, implemented Search Warrant at Port Area Barangay VI, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

The High-Impact Operation resulted to the arrests of Orlando Macahito Traspadillo Jr alias “Dingdong” (Drug Den Maintainer), Adrian Reyes Bartido, Regina Bascones Muele, Ricardo Favores Jr., Orlando Dual and Francis Edmon Castillo.

MOL twenty (20) grams of suspected shabu were confiscated, together with improvised tooters and other drug paraphernalia.

The six (6) suspects will face charges for violation of Sections 6, 7, 11 and 12, Art II RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

6 Drug Suspects Collared During Service of SW in San Carlos City

At 2:00 PM today, August 15, 2019, joint elements of PDEA Iloilo Provincial Office with Capiz Operatives, NOPO, Special Enforcement Team and PDEA VII-Negros Oriental Teams led by IA III Cornelio C. Espartero Jr. under the direct supervision of Officer-in-Charge Alex M. Tablate of PDEA-6, implemented a Search Warrant at the Port Area, Barangay VI, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. Six suspects were arrested namely: Rhoy Macahito Traspadillo alias "Roy/Toto" (drug den maintainer), Kim Silva Batusin, Antonio Pilarion Jakosalem, Jayfred Almitante Bendecio, Jobert Caparida Señerez and Irish Joper Villaruel Magpantay.

Confiscated during the said operation were suspected shabu weighing MOL 15 grams, improvised tooters, drug paraphernalia, among others.

Cases for violation of Sections 6, 7, 11, 12, Art II RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being readied for filing in court.

PDEA-PNP Dismantles Drug Den in Negros Oriental

A drug den was dismantled and five (5) were arrested during a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the elements of PDEA RO VII - Negros Oriental Team, PDEA RO VI - Capiz PO, PDEU NOPPO, PIB/SOG NOPPO and Dumaguete City Police Station in Sitio Sampaguita, Brgy. Calindagan, Dumaguete City, August 1, 2019.

The suspects were identified as Ronilo Genes (Drug den maintainer) and four (4) drug den visitors with one (1) at-large named Jonee Burris alias Lingo-lingo.

Confiscated during the operation were twenty (20) sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 20 grams with an estimated market value of P136,000, buy bust money, cash amounting to Php400, one (1) piece black box, four (4) units of cellular phone and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Cases for violation of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.

Dismantling of a drug den is a high-impact operation considering the threat such place poses in the community.

Shabu Seized during PDEA-NOPO Ops in Bacolod City

Agents from PDEA-6 Special Enforcement Team, Negros Occidental Provincial Office and PDEA-7 conducted joint buy-bust operation at 6:40 PM today, August 26, 2019 at Barangay 10, Bacolod City.

55 grams of suspected shabu worth Php374,000 was seized and authorities were able to arrest Carlo Dano Boncalon, subject of the said buy-bust operation.

A case of violation of Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is now underway for filing in court.

Drugs Seized in PDEA-PNP Ops in Roxas City

A joint operation was conductes today, September 1, 2019 at almost 12 noon where the Capiz Police Drug Enforcement Unit and PDEA Team Capiz conducted buy-bust operation against Frankie Ponciano Bertuldo (at-large) ar Brgy. Tanza Gua Roxas City, Capiz.

An estimated MOL 20 grams suspected shabu with a street value of Php 260,000 was recovered. A case for violation of Section 5, Art. II of RA 9165 is being prepared for filing in court.

INTERDICTION UNIT

PDEA-SIU and SIDITG-6 Conduct Interdiction Operation at Dumangas

To effectively and efficiently curb trafficking of illegal drugs through the ports in Western Visayas, the Seaport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (SIDITG-6) have been conducting interdiction efforts in the ports of entry in the Region.

At around 2:00 PM on August 1, 2019, the PDEA VI K9 and Seaport Interdiction Unit and SIDITG-6 conducted random paneling among the arriving and departing passengers and cargoes Dumangas Port located in Brgy Sapaw, Dumangas, Iloilo. The Team was joined by the new K-9 Unit.

The operation yielded negative on drugs.

PDEA Interdiction Unit Presents Action Plan during Quarterly Port Facility Security Advisory Council Meeting

On August 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM, SIDITG VI represented by the PDEA VI Seaport Interdiction Unit led by IA III Ruenell Butch Montenegro and the Port Police Division of PPA PMO/PNG Led by PPO2 Bon Bayona, together with the representatives from the PDEA Antique Provincial Office led by the Assistant Provincial Officer, IA I Jane Fatima Muñoz Tuadles attended the Quarterly Port Facility Security Advisory Council (PFSAC) meeting at the PPA Terminal Port of San Jose de Buenavista in the Province of Antique.

One of the highlights of the said meeting is the renewal of commitment of the members of the PFSAC.

The meeting was attended by the different representatives from the Philippine Coast Guard, Antique Police Provincial Office, PPA Antique, barangay Officials and other elected local Officials.

Representative from SIDITG VI were able to present during the said meeting the existence of the Seaport Interagency Drug Interdiction Task Group and the roles of each member agencies especially the PPA and the Coastguard as provided in the Memorandum of Agreement creating the said task group.

SIDITG VI and the PDEA Antique also conducted drug awareness seminar during the said meeting as part of the demand reduction programs of the Agency.

PDEA VI also discussed during the said meeting are the initiatives undertaken by the PDEA VI to safeguard the constituents of the region through intensified anti-drug operations as well as harm and reduction programs.

This is also part of the Agency’s commitment to initiate programs to end local communist armed conflict (ELCAC).

The plan to conduct sweeping operation at the arriving cargo vessel of the port as well as the arriving boats of the fish port nearby by the PDEA VI k9 unit led by IO II Joemar Polinar did not materialize due to unfavorable weather condition.

PDEA-NOPO and PCG Conduct Coastline Interdiction Ops in Calatrava and San Carlos City

At about 9:00 in the evening of August 25, 2019, PDEA-NOPO together with the Philippine Coast Guard San Carlos City Sub-Station conducted Coastline Interdiction Operation in the coastal areas of San Carlos City and Calatrava, Negros Occidental.

The conduct of maritime patrol and monitoring is part of the intensified efforts of PDEA-6 NOPO and PCG to secure boarders from drug smuggling activities, intercept and prevent drug entries, and seal-off entry points from neighboring provinces to the coastlines of San Carlos City and Caltrava using motorized banca.

PDEA-Capiz Pushes for Tight Security at Roxas City Airport

Last August 22, 2019, PDEA-Capiz Provincial Office attended a meeting at Roxas City Airport.

The attendees were Airport Manager Mrs. Cynthia A. Aspera, PNP AVSEGROUP PCPT Renier Doliente, OTS Supervisor Edgar I. Corvera and CAAP representative.

Discussed were K9 deployment, drug situation and possible Memorandum of Agreement with them. lt was also agreed to conduct orientation to the airport personnel regarding classification of drugs and methods/modus operandi of drug couriers before it's proper deployment.

The AVSGROUP also discussed possible portion/area of their office for the PDEA K9 personnel.

Tighter Security and Interdiction Ops On-going in Iloilo and Bacolod-Silay Airports

In the early morning of August 26, 2019 at 5:00 AM, PDEA-NOPO Airport Interdiction Unit conducted random inspection and K9 sweeping operation at the Cargo Warehouse and Baggage conveyors of Bacolod-Silay International Airport located at Airport Road, Silay City.

Meanwhile, at 8:30 AM of the same date, PDEA-6 K9 Unit and Airport Interdiction Team conducted Random Check Operation at Iloilo International Airport and Cebu Pacific Cargo Area located at Cabatuan, Iloilo.

There were no illegal drugs found during the conduct of both operations.

PDEA-K9 Units Conduct Tight Interiction Sweep in Iloilo and Bacolod

At 1:30 PM, August 29, 2019, PDEA Seaport ans SIDITG-6 Teams with the K9 Unit conducted random paneling and profiling of passengers at the Iloilo Fast Craft Terminal located in Brgy. Progreso, Lapuz, Iloilo City.

Earlier at 6:30 AM of the same date, PDEA Airport Interdiction Team and K9 Unit conducted Random Check Operation on flights from Singapore at Iloilo International Airport and also at Cebu Pacific Cargo Area located at Cabatuan, Iloilo.

Meanwhile in Bacolod City, PDEA K9 and Airport Interdiction Unit conducted Random Security and K9 sweeping Operation at Cargo Warehouse and Baggage conveyors of Bacolod-Silay International Airport located at Airport Road, Silay City at 3:00 PM.

Almost simultaneously PDEA NOPO-Airport Interdiction Unit took their posts in the designated Help Desk situated inside departure area to continuously monitor the movement of passengers and served as deterrent for any illegal drug activities may occur inside and outside the premise of New Bacolod-Silay International Airport.

No drugs were detected nor seized during the interdiction operations.

PDEA Tackles BDCP and Sustaining Drug-Cleared Status in Guimaras

Last August 19, 2019, PDEA-Guimaras Provincial Office led by IA V Ferdenand Kintanar made courtesy calls to Sibunag Mayor Annabelle Vilches and San Lorenzo Mayor Hon. Ninfa Gajo.

Discussed during the said visits were the plans in sustaining the drug-cleared status of all barangays in the municipality as well as issues and concerns of the municipality when it comes to Barangay Drug Clearing especialy those barangays that are moderately affected.

PDEA-Iloilo Discusses BDCP and Enhancement of Intel Gathering with LGUs

On August 22, 2019 PDEA-Iloilo visited the Office of the City of the Local Government and Office of the City Health addressing the concerns of barangays for Drug clearing, and giving insights for the 14 candidate barangays in the city.

Thereafter, the same team attended the regular City Police Intelligence Coordinating Conference at Iloilo City Police Conference to enhance information gathering, provide better scope and coverage to address effectively and efficiently the various concerns on Intelligence particularly on campaign against Illegal drugs.

PDEA-Iloilo Conducts On-site Validation in San Dionisio and Concepcion

August 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM, the PDEA 6-Iloilo Province Barangay Drug Clearing Team conducted On-Site Validations and checking of documents to the Ten (10) barangay applicants from the Municipality of San Dionisio, Iloilo and Seven (7) barangays from the Municipality of Concepcion, Iloilo.

The said activity was participated by the Punong Barangays, BADAC members and their PWUDs.

Also present during the said activities were the Chiefs of Police of Concepcion and San Dionisio, Municipal Health Officers, representatives from the Provincial Health Office and also the assigned MLGOO in their respective municipalities.

Barotac Viejo Sets for BDCP Deliberation

Last August 21, 2019 at 8:00AM, the PDEA-Iloilo Provincial Office and the Barangay Drug Clearing Team conducted on-site validation and checking of documents to the twenty-six (26) barangay applicants of the Municipality of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo held at the Municipal People's Hall.

The said activity was participated by the Punong Barangays, BADAC members together with their PWUDs.

Present were the Municipal Police Station Chief of Police , Municipal Health Officer, MLGOO and LGU representative.

PDEA-Iloilo Conducts On-site Validation in Oton and Tigbauan

Last August 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM, the PDEA Iloilo Provincial Office and the Barangay Drug Clearing Team conducted on-site validation and checking of documents to the fifteen (15) applicant barangays of the Municipality of Tigbauan, Iloilo held at its Municipal Conference Room.

Meanwhile, six (6) barangays of the Municipality of Oton were also subjected to on-site checking at 2:00 PM, held at Municipal SB Session Hall by the same team.

The said activities were participated by the Punong barangays, BADAC members together with their PWUDs.

Also present were the Municipal Police Station Chiefs of Police , Municipal Health Officers, MLGOO and LGU representatives.

The validation included a discussion on the parameters and requirements for a drug cleared barangay.

23 PWUDs Graduate in Numancia, Aklan

On August 25, 2019 at 1:00PM, PDEA-Aklan Provincial Office led by IA III Eugene Prieto attended the Community Based Rehabilitation Program Batch 3 Graduation Ceremony held at Casa Madianos, Brgy. Marianos, Numancia, Aklan.

IA III Prieto served as a guest speaker and gave inspirational message to the 23 PWUD's (persons who used drugs) graduates.

The said activity were attended by Numancia Municipal Mayor Hon. Jeserel T. Templonuevo, PMAJ Josephine A. Jomocan, COP-Numancia MPS, Mr. Levens T. Maravilla, MHO; Mr. Cornelio V. Cuachon Jr., PHO; Mr. Jaime J. Sejera, SIPAG coordinator; Mr. Jose Rommel B. Tocol, MLGOO; MADAC Council and BADAC members.

At the same time, PDEA-Aklan Team distributed the PDEA advocacy campaign materials to the PWUD's graduates and their families.

PDEA-Aklan Continues Strengthened BDCP Efforts

August 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM, PDEA-Aklan together with the BDCP Team conducted an on-site validation and checking of documents among the two (2) barangay applicants from the Municipality of Batan, Aklan.

The said activity was attended by the Barangay Chairman, Barangay Kagawad for Peace and Order, Barangay Secretary, BADAC members and Batan MPS.

Prior to the conduct of on-site validation, the team paid courtesy visit to Batan Vice-Mayor Hon. William R. Bautista.

Present during the visit were PMaJ Gilbert Baldevarona of Batan MPS and Dra. Avie Fantilanan, MHO of Batan, Aklan.

Also discussed were the BDCP program and the upcoming BDCP 16th ROC Deliberation.

At the same time, PDEA advocacy campaign materials were also distributed to the participants and residents of Brgy. Songcolan, Batan, Aklan.

PDEA-NOPO Ensures Compliance with BDCP

On August 22, 2019 at about 9:00 in the morning, PDEA NOPO-BDCP Team conducted lecture during the General Assembly in Barangay 6, Bacolod City which was also attended by the PWUDs of the said barangay.

Afterwards, the team proceeded to Barangay 15, Bacolod City to meet the PWUDs and barangay officials.

The said activity was part of the on-going Barangay Drug Clearing On-Site Validation to ensure that barangays have fully complied with the parameters of the program not just in terms of document preparation but more importantly, to assess the actual drug situation of the barangay and the status of drug surrenderers.

200+ Barangays Cleared Anew During 16th BDCP ROC Deliberation

A total of 209 out of 323 barangay applicants were "cleared/officially declared unaffected" during the 16th Regional Oversight Committee (ROC) Deliberation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) yesterday, August 28, 2019 at 1:30 PM held at the Crown Ballroom 2, Punta Villa Resort, Villa Arevalo Iloilo City.

33 municipalities from the Provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental took part in the deliberation with their Municipal Mayors, Chiefs of Police and other members of the different Local Government Units.

The deliberation conducted is a product of the intel validations of PDEA and PNP, to include the DOH and the DILG requirements, and as members of the Regional Oversight Committee of BDCP, with PDEA as Chairman.

PDEA-Iloilo Attends MADAC, Conducts On-Site Validation in Pototan and San Joaquin

On August 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM, the PDEA- Iloilo Provincial Office attended the MADAC and MPOC joint meeting at LGC Audio-Visual Room Annex, at the Office of the Mayor, Pototan, Iloilo.

The activity was participated by the Barangay officials of the Thirteen (13) Barangays in the said Municipality which are candidates for the 16th Regional Oversight Committee Deliberation set this month.

Present also was the Mayor of Pototan, Hon. Rafael Enrique P. Lazaro and the MADAC members.

The representative from PDEA-Iloilo Province gave an orientation to the BADAC members on the preparation that needs to be undertaken during the on-site validation.

The orientation also emphasized on the main roles of the barangay officials in the drug-clearing process as well as their responsibility to maintain the drug-cleared or unaffected status of their respective barangays.

Simultaneously, other members of the Iloilo Team together with the Provincial Health Officer/s conducted an on-site validation at San Joaquin Municipal Gym (Garinasium) where the participants are the 17 barangays which applied for drug clearing.

PDEA 6 BALAY SILANGAN PDEA-Guimaras Eyes Nueva Valencia for New Balay Silangan Facility

This morning, August 9, 2019, the PDEA RO VI-Guimaras Provincial Office Team conducted On-site Re-Validation at Barangay Cabalagnan Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.

Present during the said activity were PCPL Nelmar Fernandez PCR of Nueva Valencia Police Station, Pastor Leif Gemino, Punong Barangays and Secretaries of the participating barangays for the next ROC deliberation.

The team also visited the proposed site for the Balay Silangan Reformation Facility located at Brgy Lucmayan Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.

PDEA 6 JAIL CLEARING OPERATION PDEA-6 Spearheads ROC Initial Validation for Jail Clearing Operations

On August 23, 2019 at 9:00 AM, PDEA Chief for Region 6 Alex M. Tablate, Officer-in-Charge presided over the Regional Oversight Commitee initial assessment of requirements and validation of jail facilities for drug-clearing.

The deliberation committee included the BJMP, PNP, DILG and DOH.

The assessment and validation was in line with the Memorandum of Agreement signed between the PDEA and BJMP in partnership for their commitment to ensure our jail facilities are cleared of dangerous drugs, both of inmates and jail personnel.
