emails it to you– PD Ops orders the Teacher Training Guides
• Janice’s tip: schedule yourself a 30-minute buffer after the webinar in case it runs long

Day of: Check your tech!
• Log into GoToWebinar early
• Check that your browser and i-Ready logins are working
• Check that your browser tabs and desktop are ready to be shown to customers

• Gather your GoToWebinar login/password
• Sign in at least 15 minutes in advance
• Select the CORRECT webinar by checking customer name, date, and time

Day of: Starting the webinar
• After clicking start:– The webinar control panel
opens– You can see when participants
arrive– You control audio (mute/un-
mute participants)– You are NOT yet showing your
screen
• Click “Start Broadcast” to show your screen

Day of: Individuals vs. Group
Scenario 1: Individuals logging in from multiple locations
Scenario 2: Group logging in from one location– Connect with point person– Quick confirmation of training details (math and
reading, Diagnostic only, grade levels, etc.)– Ask if there are any stragglers

Day of: Interacting with participants
Scenario 1: Individuals– Handraising to check for understanding– Question box
Scenario 2: Group– Can offer short breaks to discuss amongst
themselves– The key is to identify a lead in the room

Day of: Troubleshooting
• Customer can’t hear you – Communicate back and forth via the question box– Usually an issue on their end; ask them to check their
speakers
• You can’t hear the customer– Ask them to check their computer microphone– They can switch to a telephone on speakerphone– Proceed with the webinar; they type questions in the
question box

Day of: Starting the PowerPoint
• Greet the participants• If recording the webinar:– State that the webinar is being
recorded– Click “Start Recording”– Wait 1-2 seconds– Repeat the name of the
webinar and customer• Begin the PowerPoint deck

Day of: No-shows!
• Wait 10 minutes
• Call the school or contact person
• Email the contact person
• Rescheduling: PD Ops handles that! – Do NOT mark the shift as completed– You will still get credit for your time

Day of: Before ending webinar
• Remind to fill out survey
• Thank them for attending
• Stay online for 2-3 minutes at the end for final questions
• Announce the webinar will be turned off

• Follow the script in the facilitator’s guide
• Keep an eye on the question box
• Pause for questions at the end of sections
• Pay attention to timing

Follow-up: Upload recording
• GoToWebinar prompts you to process the recording (takes a few minutes)
• You save the file on your computer• You log back into GoToWebinar and upload the file
