The subject order was adopted by the Regional Board on February 2, 2012 and is due to expire on December 31, 2016. At this time the Port District would like to request that the order be extended or renewed for an additional five (S) years (an applicat ion with attachments is included herewith).

While the terms of the existing order continue to be generally acceptable to the Port District, the following relatively minor modification to Provision B.4 is requested:

B.4 This provision specifies, among other things, that fine grained material may be deposited at the mouth of the Santa Clara River. " ... provided that a) the river flow, as measured in the vicinity of the Victoria Bridge, is 100 cubic feet per second or greater."

That location has become problematic for the technician performing the measuring due to the heavily overgrown vegetation and sizeable homeless population in that area of the river bottom. It is requested that the location for measuring the stream flow be changed to the State Highway 118 bridge whe·re the aforementioned conditions do not exist.

For record purposes, the following operation was conducted pursuant to the provisions of Order No. R4-2012-0027.

March 2016 - 2,452 cubic yards of material was removed from the Stub Channel and deposited in the surf zone to the north of the mouth of the Santa Clara River.
