CREATIVE GREEN BUILDING MATERIALS With the rapid development of new materials, building industry is almost always evolving. With each year, materials and ideas develop and innovate, building on the foundations laid by decades of p r e v i o u s a r c h i t e c t u r a l f e a t s . L i k e w i s e , P a k i s t a n i s w i t n e s s i n g construction of very interesting projects in all sectors of Infrastructure. Recent High rise structures, under construction, include residential/commercial blocks up to a height of 260 m. Majority of the structures are in structural concrete. The functional demands of such high rise structures include the use of durable materials. High Strength Concrete, Sel f–compact ing C o n c r e t e a r e g a i n i n g w i d e s p r e a d acceptance. For thatinnovative materials are being leveraged by architects, designers and scientists that look set to alter the foundations of the building industry in the near future, along with some innovations t h at h ave a l re a d y i m p a c te d t h i n g s considerably.
For instance, the new composite material carbon concrete has the potential to revolutionise the entire architecture. The h i g h - p e r f o r m a n c e m a t e r i a l i s a combination of concrete and carbon fibres. Therefore, in contrast to reinforced concrete, no thick concrete layers are required to protect the carbon. The sand consumption and the CO2 emissions a s s o c i a te d w i t h t h e p ro d u c t i o n o f reinforced concrete can be significantly reduced. The load-bearing capacity with carbon is five to six times higher than with reinforced concrete. The cost of carbon concrete appears very high at around twenty euros as compared to reinforced concrete at one euro per kilogram. If, however, the material savings of around 75 percent and the longevity, strength and corrosion resistance of the material are taken into account, the costs are offset.
The first carbon house is to be built on the campus of the Technical University of Dresden by the end of 2019. The "C³ - Carbon Concrete Composite" consortium led by the TU has estimated construction costs of around 5 million euros for the two-storey reference project.
S i m i l a r l y, o w i n g t o i t s p o z z o l a n i c properties, is used as a replacement fly ash
for in concrete. Not only Portland cementpozzolan greatly improves the strength and durability of concrete but also is highly e c o n o m i c a l . U s e o f F l y A s h i s environmentally friendly as the waste materials from industries are effectively being used to create quality building materials.
Fly Ash has very small particles which makes the concrete highly dense and reduces the permeability of concrete. The concrete mixture generates a very low heat of hydration which prevents thermal cracking.
Fly Ash concrete is resistant to acid and sulphate attacks. The shrinkage of fly ash concrete is very less. The use of fly ash gives concrete better work ability, durability and finish.
The Asia-Pacific region - which makes up for slightly less than 80% of the global market's value - has driven the growth of the global market. The Chinese and Indian industries have mainly contributed to this growth, as well as Pakistan and other Asian developing economies that are characterized by rapidly growing urbanizaon and rising income.
Over 61 million metric tons (68 million tons) of fly ash were produced in 2001.Currently, over 20 million metric tons (22 million tons) of fly ash are used a n n u a l l y i n a va r i et y o f engineering applicaons.

Moreover, another interesting material
that has attracted the focus of researchers
at is ; As well as Ithaka Institute Biochar
having excellent insulating properties,
improving air quality, being able to soak up
moisture and protect from radiation,
biochar also allows buildings to be turned
into carbon sinks. Every tonne of biochar
used in a building's envelope means that
the equivalent of more or less one tonne of
CO2 is prevented from re-entering the
atmosphere.
In 2000, the fundamental law concerning
the establishment of a recycling social
system was enacted in Japan, and it was
required to reuse any wastes as much as
possible. The total amount of waste woods
mainly from construction has reached to
4.6 mil l ion tonnes per year, but the
domestic use is only 60%—stil l now.
Therefore, some construction companies
have switched f rom inc inerat ion to
carbonization and intended to use charcoal
for humidity contro l of houses and
buildings, because it is necessary to
r e d u c e t h e h i g h h u m i d i t y o f
buildings in Japan.
A d d i t i o n a l l y, a n e w
innovative material
that has been d e v e l o p e d

not only as a solid building material, but
also as an air purifier that contributes to
improving the natural environment called

conventional brick that has been used for
centuries and changes its form by creating
a hollow center that allows air to be filtered
through. This not only provides passive
ventilation to the building, but it also filters
out heavy pollution particles that are in the
outs ide air. Typical ly, venti lat ion or
filtration of air into buildings involves
mechanical systems that are added to the
building enclosure.
Another interesting innovation is the
Illuminating cement by a Mexican scientist
Rubio Avalos that glows in the dark using
solar power. Instead of using floodlights, it
is more cost-effective to use solar-powered
cement in areas that require minimal street
l ighting. There are a wide variety of
commercial applications; according to
Rubio, four billion tonnes of cement were
created throughout the world in 2015, and
the glowing cement can be used not only
for streets but buildings as well.
The technology could even be used in
plaster. According to the publication

Biochar is added to a clay-sand mixture at a rao of 30 – 50% (compared with normal clay plasters, the sand content is slightly lower). The biochar-mud mixture thus conta ins 50% biochar, 30% sand and 20% clay. This mixture can be used both for s p r a y p l a s t e r i n g a n d f o r c o n v e n o n a l t h r o w - o n techniques.

Why Should We Use Fly Ash In Concrete?Mr. Christopher B. Yousuf, CEO.Tradeworth InternationalWell if you ask this question from any civil eng ineer, consu l tant or any expert concrete engineer, they might give you some reasons to how this can benefit you f i n a n c i a l l y a n d y o u r c o n s t r u c t i o n productivity. But is there any greater benefit than this or greater benefit that to get better financial benefit or to make your product better. Yes! But before I tell you about that benefit, I would like to tell you the harmful causes by flyash. Flyash is a by-product of coal combustion power plant and to produce electricity, millions of tons of coal is being burned, this produce fumes which before would cause pollution in the air but now due to technology they are settled into storage tanks and then later disposed off. But after some time, these fumes pollute the air and causes different types of diseases such as eye infections, skin problems and lung diseases it also contaminates the water which harms the Marine life and drinking water. Marine life such as fish are a source of food, they also cause us to get sick due to living in the contaminated water. But we can use flyash as a partial cement replacement to produce concrete and since it is a by product it is cheaper and is more beneficial or provides the same benefits as cement. Flyash reacts
w i t h c a l c i u m o x i d e t o b e c o m e a cementitious material. Flyash is a partial replacement for Portland cement used in producing concrete. It reacts as a pozzolan with the lime present in cement as it hydrates making the durable binder that holds concrete together. Concrete made with flyash is stronger and more durable than the concrete made with only Portland c e m e n t . I t c a n a l s o b e u s e d a s a replacement for clay to produce cement clinker and there are also many other uses of flyash.
What are the benefits of flyash to produce concrete we will discuss later but the main question is why we must use flyash in concrete?
Because we don't only get f inancial benefits or to increase the quality of your product, but we also support eco-friendly environment. Globally five to ten percent of global warming has been created by cement industry and if you replace cement with flyash you are also participating in reducing global warming by minimizing the usage of cement. My request to a l l construction industry related people including civil engineers, consultants,
constructors, ready mix, tuff tiles and cement manufacturers to maximize the use of flyash to not only get a better-quality product and financial benefits but to also participate to support an eco-friendly environment. Tradeworth international was formed in 2010 since then its main objective is not only to generate revenue b u t t o a l s o s u p p o r t e c o - f r i e n d l y environment by work ing on recyc le materials or by products of different industries. If you need any kind of technical and informative support or if you require flyash or other related materials, we are more than happy to provide it to you. We have been supplying flyash all over Pakistan in tough tiles, ready mix and cement industries in very competitive rates. Remember you do make a difference as an individual or as an organization in keeping the environment eco-friendly.

Huawei Will Launch Pakistan’s 5g Network,Claims Fawad Chaudhry
Chinese telecom equipment provider H u a w e i h a s b e e n p u s h i n g i t s 5 G networking technology for quite some time across South and Southeast Asia, and it seems the message is getting across. Fawad Chaudhry, Pakistan’s science and technology minister, has said Huawei is the one that ’s launching Pakistan’s 5G network. His remark is raising more than a few eyebrows,
especially of those who are concerned that Islamabad may be relying a little too much on China these days through the China-Pakistan Economic Corr idor (CPEC) and related projects. This isn’t even the first controversial statement he has made. Ear l ier th is month, he accidentally claimed the Hubble Space Telescope for Pakistan even though it was launched by NASA years ago. Chaudhry
made the comment during a press conference recently. He said Pakistan’s 5 G n e t w o r k w i l l u s h e r i n a n e w technology era.
“5G tech will arrive, not arrive but it’s almost launched by Huawei in Pakistan,” local media report quotes him as saying. He also said Pakistani citizens will be able to enjoy the benefits of a faster 5G mobile network “sooner than they think.”
It rather sounds like he expects Pakistan’s 5G network to be up and running very soon, but other sources have indicated that Pakistan is actually targeting a launch of its 5G network in the second half of next year. After that, it will take some time before smartphones with 5G support become standard. At this point, 5G-equipped smartphones are still very nascent, which makes sense because smartphone makers are waiting for infrastructure to catch up.
Tehran: Iran says it is ready to connect Pakistan's Gwadar port to Iran's Chabahar port to promote trades. The proposal was put forward by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif upon his arrival in Pakistan's capital Islamabad on Thursday.
"I've come here with a proposal for the government of Pakistan for connection between Chabahar and Gwadar... We believe that Chabahar and Gwadar can complement each other," Zarif said.
"We can connect Chabahar and Gwadar, and then through that connect Gwadar to our entire railroad system, from Iran to the North Corridor, through Turkmenistan and
Kazakhstan, and also through Azerbaijan, Russia, and through Turkey," he was quoted as saying.
Iran, India and Afghanistan signed a trilateral transit agreement in Tehran in May 2016, which allows the three countries to open new routes of connection by converting Chabahar port into a transit hub. According to another agreement
signed on Feb. 17, 2018, Iran allowed India to operate its southern port Shahid Beheshti, a move that could enable India to dodge Pakistan and reach markets in Afghanistan, Central Asia and beyond. Based on the deal, Iran granted the operational rights of Shahid Beheshti, located in Chabahar port city area on the northern side of the Sea of Oman, to India for 18 months.
