Move exposed person to fresh air. lf it is suspected that fumes are stillpresent, the rescuer should wear an appropriate mask or self-containedbreathing apparatus. Keep person warm and at rest. lf not breathing, ifbreathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificialrespiration or oxygen by trained personnel. lt may be dangerous to theperson providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. lfunconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attentionimmediately. Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as acollar, tie, belt or waistband. Get medical attention.

Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to doso by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to anunconscious person. Get medical attention immediately.

No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitabletraining. lt may be dangerous to the person providing aid to givemouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Wash contaminated clothing thoroughlywith water before removing it, or wear gloves. lf it is suspected that dust, vapor, mist or gas are still present, the rescuer should wear anappropriate mask or seltcontained breathing apparatus.

No specific treatment. Treat symptomatically. Contact poison treatmentspecialist immediately if large quantities have been ingested or inhaled.

Special Remarks onExplosion Hazards

Flammable liquid. In a fire or if heated, a pressure increase will occurand the container may burst, with the risk of a subsequent explosion.Runoff to sewer may create fire or explosion hazard.

Use dry chemical, CO2, water spray (fog) or foam.

Do not use water jet.

Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the vicinity ofthe incident if there is a fire. No action shall be taken involving anypersonal risk or without suitable training. Move containers from fire areaif this can be done without risk. Use water spray to keep fire-exposedcontainers cool.

Decomposition products may include the following materials: carbonoxides, phosphorus oxides

Fire-fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment andself-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)with a full face-pieceoperated in positive pressure mode.

Liquid and vapor may cause a flash fire or ignite explosively. Vapor isheavier than air and may settle in low places or spread long distances toa source of ignition and flashback. Explosive atmospheres may linger.Closed containers can rupture and release toxic vapors.ordecomposition products. :

6. Accidental release measures

Personal precautions No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitabletraining. Evacuate surrounding areas. Keep unnecessary andunprotected personnel from entering. Do not touch orwalk throughspilled material. Shut off all ignition sources. No flares, smoking orflames in hazard area. Provide adequate ventilation. Wear appropriaterespiratorwhen ventilation is inadequate. Put on appropriate personalprotective equipment (see section 8). Do not breathe dust, vapor, mist orgas.

Avoid dispersal of spilled material and runoff and contact with soil, watenrays, drains and sewers. Inform the relevant authorities if theproduct has caused environmental pollution (sewers, waterways, soil orair).

Stop leak if without risk. Move containers from spill area. Approachrelease from upwind. Prevent entry into sewers, water courses, basements or confined areas. Wash spillages into an effluent treatmentplant or proceed as follows. Contain and collect spillage withnon-combustible, absorbent material e.g. sand, earth, vermiculite ordiatomaceous earth and place in containerfor disposal according tolocal regulations (see section 13). Use spark-proof tools andexplosion-proof equipment. Dispose of via a licensed waste disposalcontractor. Contaminated absorbent material may pose the samehazard as the spilled product. Note: see section I for emergency contactinformation and section '1 3 for waste disposal.

Stop leak if without risk. Move containers from spillarea. Dilute withwater and mop up if water-soluble or absorb with an inert dry materialand place in an appropriate waste disposal container. Use spark-prooftools and explosion-proof equipment. Dispose of via a licensed wastedisposal contractor.

Handling Put on appropriate personal protective equipment (see section 8).Eating, drinking and smoking should be prohibited in areas where thismaterial is handled, stored and processed. Workers should wash handsand face before eating, drinking and smoking. Persons with a history ofskin sensitization problems should not be employed in any process inwhich this product is used. Do not get in eyes or on skin or clothing. Donot ingest. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear appropriaterespirator when ventilation is inadequate. Do not enter storage areasand confined spaces unless adequately ventilated. Keep in the originalcontainer or an approved alternative made from a compatible material, kept tightly closed when not in use. Store and use away from heat, sparks, open flame or any other ignition source. Use explosion-proofelectrical (ventilating, lighting and material handling) equipment. Usenon-sparking tools. Take precautionary measures against electrostaticdischarges. To avoid fire or explosion, dissipate static electricity duringtransfer by grounding and bonding containers and equipment beforetransferring material. Follow US NFPA 30, "Flammable & CombustibleLiquids Code", or other national, state and local codes on safe handlingof flammable liquids. Train workers in the recognition and prevention ofhazards associated with the storage, handling and transJer of flammable

liquids in the plant. Empty containers retain product residue and can behazardous. Do not reuse container. Do not breathe dust, vapor, mist orgas.

Store in an area designated for storage of flammable liquids (See NFPA30 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106). Store in original container protectedfrom direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area, away fromincompatible materials (see section 10) and food and drink. Eliminate allignition sources. Separate from oxidizing materials. Keep containertightly closed and sealed until ready for use. Containers that have beenopened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.Do not store in unlabeled containers. Use appropriate containment toavoid environmental contamination.

Respiratory

lf this product contains ingredients with exposure limits, personal, workplace atmosphere or biological monitoring may be required todetermine the effectiveness of the ventilation or other control measuresand/or the necessity to use respiratory protective equipment.

Use only with adequate ventilation. Use process enclosures, localexhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep workerexposure to airborne contaminants below any recommended orstatutory limits. The engineering controls also need to keep gas, vaporor dust concentrations below any lower explosive limits. Useexplosion-proof ventilation equipment.

Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemicalproducts, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the endof the working period. Appropriate techniques should be used to removepotentially contami nated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing beforereusing. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close tothe workstation location.

Use a properly fitted, air-purifying or air-fed respirator complying with anapproved standard if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary.Respirator selection must be based on known or anticipated exposurelevels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of theselected respirator.

Hands Chemical-resistant, impervious gloves coqnplying with an approvedstandard should be worn at all times when handling chemical products ifa risk assessment indicates this is necessary.

Eyes Safety eyewear complying with an approved standard should be usedwhen a risk assessment indicates this is necessary to avoid exposure toliquid splashes, mists or dusts.

Personal protective equipment for the body should be selected based onthe task being performed and the risks involved and should be approvedby a specialist before handling this product.

Environmental exposure Emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should becontrols checked to ensure they comply with the requirements of environmental

protection legislation.ln some cases, fume scrubbers, filters orengineering modifications to the process equipment will be necessary toreduce emissions to acceptable levels.
