INTRODUCTION Computer Hardware Servicing: This course provides an excellent introduction to the IT industry and in-depth exposure to personal computers, hardware, and operating systems in accordance to local industry requirements and standards. COURSE TITLE : COMPUTER HARDWARE SERVICING NOMINAL DURATION : 1224 HOURS QUALIFICATION LEVEL : NC II COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills

and desirable attitude of a computer service technician in accordance with industry standards. It covers the competencies such as: applying quality standards, proper use of hand tools, terminating and connecting of electronic and electrical components, installing, diagnosing and troubleshooting computer networks, configuring and maintaining of computer system and networks. It also includes competencies in workplace communication, team work, safety, use of hand tools, and proper housekeeping.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Students who wish to enroll in the course must:

• have potential/skill as per High School Occupational Interest Inventory (HSOII) results

• possess desirable and healthy attitude towards skill activities

• have passed interview and aptitude test

• submit the following documents:

- Form 138

- Parent consent

- Medical certificate issued by a government physician

- Certificate of good moral character
