Sixth Street was originally calledPecan Street established as the
principle business street. It hasremained so for 150 years.
Lights at Night Field Guide helps
decipher Austins nightlife through
outdoor lighting.
Austin, Texas has grown into a
metropolis much more diverse than
the village of Waterloo it bloomed
from. Many dierent cultures inhabit
the city blocks. For this eld guide
I have chosen to highlight South
Congress, East Cesar Chavez, South
First Street, Congress Ave Downtown,
and Sixth Street.
Austin prides itself on having a
unique and weird culture. Naturally
each building and public area is
treated with an independent identity.
