This Week at Campus 903: The Youth Choir Rehearsal This Week’s Inspiration: Top 10 things you need to model to improve creativity. 3. Clear the clutter—Let go of the past. Youth Ministry At New Pilgrim: The Youth Ministry would like to thank Sis. Malera Wright and the Mayor's office for a won-derful fellowship at the Birmingham Barons Game. Again, we say Thank You.
Youth Day 2014 is right around the corner. Youth Day re-hearsal will begin on Wednesday, June 25th at 6:15pm. Our colors for this year will be pastel color tops and dark bottoms.
Our goal is to have all youth participating on youth day — you do not have to be in Youth Ministry on Wednesdays to participate. If you are a youth, we need you and you need us. Get ready to do your part and join the praise!

The Deacon A. C. Givner
Humanitarian Service Award The Deacons wish to honor the memory of the late Deacon A. C.
Givner who was a member of the New Pilgrim Baptist Church for
more than 59 years. He was a humanitarian who spent his life helping
to meet the economic, social and spiritual needs of others. He gave of
himself unselfishly and exemplified the virtues of one who was truly
concerned about the well being of God’s children who congregated at
the lower rung of the socio-economic ladder of society. He served dili-
gently as a man of distinction, a deacon, a humanitarian and an ambas-
sador for Christ every day of his life. It was not unusual to find him
out in the community in fellowship with the less fortunate identifying
their needs and seeking to address some of those needs. This award
will be made on the Deacons/Trustees/Deaconesses annual day (the
third Sunday in August during the 11:00 a.m. service.)
The Deacons are soliciting the help of the congregation in identifying a
member of this church who by his/her service exemplifies the character
traits of Deacon A. C. Givner to receive
special recognition for Humanitarian Service.
The honoree will receive a plaque expressing
appreciation for service and the person’s name
will also be displayed on a second plaque in
the appropriate place in the new facility. The
plaque posted in the new facility will contain
spaces for ten names (one to be placed each
year and on year eleven, the first name will rotate off).
The name of the nominee should be included on a nomination form
which is available on the table in the foyer and forwarded to either of
the following: Deacon William Armstead, Deacon Charles Chambers,
Deacon Harvey Henley or Deacon Charles Voltz.
Nominations must be received no later than July 27, 2014.
