In the last month, our community has been busy with:• Cross-Country Running (M-W-F), Bantam Football (T-Th, games W)
and our whole-school Terry Fox Walk in the rain, Clippers (Gr.5-6-7)Photo Retakes Day, Band & Music routines, Student Leadership,playground games, Open House, Popcorn & Lunch Days, Tim Hortons(Gr. 6-7), N53 Science and Science World presentations
• NLPS/ALPIN Reading Assessments (all grades)• Emergency Kiosk (restocking); Portable discussions• Professional Learning about inclusion practices, our TLC kids,
FreshGrade (for reporting on student progress) and our school goals• Robotics club, jeux de jeudi (for rainy days)• F i r e Safety House (grade 3s - today)• Indigo, Adopt-a-School fundraiser for our library
In the next few weeks, our community will be involved in the following:• Implementing reading groups, support groups, buddy classes
FSA assessments in grade 4 and 7; NLPS/ALPIN assessments tocomplete and data to examine
• Parent-Teacher Meetings next week❖ Shake Out BC Earthquake Drill (as this is during our parent-teacher
interview week, instead of releasing to parents for this drill, we willbe practicing our different roles and setting up the release station)
• Halloween Parade (no weapons, blood and gore please!)
Changes happening at Ecole Pauline Haarer and across the district:• Collaboration (PLC, parents, students, communities, resources)• Curriculum (Core and curricular competencies)• Ongoing Assessment of Student Learning (FreshGrade support)

Grade 6Schoolhouse CafeThe grade 6s are running the Schoolhouse Cafe and have made over $86 inSeptember.
Grade 7Dinner to GoThe first 4 weeks are up and the grade 7s are taking turns helping to organize anddistribute the meals. They made $85 in the first 2 weeks.
Upcoming FundraisingEverything for the next while is up and available for order. Near the end of Octoberwe will plan the november hot lunch and get it up online.. Currently we have 168students registered online, and 95% or more of all orders made are placed online.
