The Ekman Associate Program is the world’s only training program where you can get certification as an Ekman Approved Associate and become licensed to deliver the official Dr. Ekman training methods.

Dr. Ekman is a leading psychologist and researcher in the fields of Emotion, Deception, and Credibility. His work has been vital in combating some of the worlds most prominent challenges such as terrorism, fraud, and high stake deception. Ekman’s commitment to scientific validity has gleaned the respect of top business professionals and organizations around the world who adopt his methods and approaches to communicate effectively, route of deceptive practices, and nurture an ethical and emotionally skilled workforce.

Who is the Ekman Associate Programme for?

The course has been developed using both research conducted in the fields of psychology, linguistics, criminology , and sociology.

The Ekman Associate Program is designed for professionals who see the value of adopting Emotional Skills and Credibility Analysis based competencies within the professional workplace and would like to offer the best and most scientifically supported techniques and methodologies to their customers by adopting the Ekman approved content and training methods.

Most Ekman Associates tend to be in one of the following professions: Consultants, Coaches, Trainers, HR Managers, Mentors, and L&D Managers who want to secure approval to add Paul Ekman Approved core content into their wider training/delivery initiatives. Be that leadership, team development, negotiation, sales, and recruitment, for example.

While the Associate Program will help you develop the skills to handle Ekman content, we do ask the those applying for the associate’s program already have some experience as a trainer, facilitator or speaker so you are better prepared to hit the ground running once you have completed the program..

The Process for becoming an Ekman Approved Associate:

1. Meet the entrance requirements by completing the two core Paul Ekman modules:

- ESaC

Emotional Skills and Competencies

- ETaC

Evaluating Truthfulness and Credibility

2. Attend and Complete the Ekman associate program.

Please note: Proof that you have completed ESaC and ETaC is required to be accepted onto the Ekman Associate Program.

3. Sign an Ekman associate license and pay your license fee.

Once you have booked your place on the Ekman Associate Program our team will contact you to arrange payment of the license.

The Ekman Associate License is $4000 per year Subject to VAT.

Please note: The associate license must be paid before the Program begins. You will receive a bundle of content during the Associate program including slides, materials, trainers guides, video content, marketing items and activity briefs. You must have a signed license and paid the license fee before we can grant you access to these materials.

4. Undergo the Quality Assurance Process.

Following the Associate program, your first delivered sessions are required to be video recorded to ensure you are confident with the materials and approaches before formal approval.

You will be able to access support from the Ekman International team as you prepare for your events and develop your mastery.

Please note: This is not a test. We will use the Quality Assurance process to offer support and guidance if and where needed and encourage your own professional development.

Entry Requirements

Delegates must have passed ESaC and ETaC before being able to start this course.

An Ekman Associate License is required before being able to start this course.

There are two methods available to secure your place:

Pay in Full: £5,500

Payment via Deposit & Instalments

All course fees must be covered two weeks prior to the beginning of the course.

Once you have booked your place our team will contact you to arrange payment of the License. The Ekman Associate License is $4000 per year (+ VAT).

Please note: The License and any payment plans must be paid in full before the programme begins.
