Patient Care Team WICHITA
Dr. Ron Hunninghake, Riordan Clinic’s Chief Medical Officer, has
assembled an expert team of professionals to serve as important and
trusted resources for you during your time here at the Riordan Clinic.
Following the approach that the Riordan Clinic was founded on, our providers
take the time talking with patients, listening to their stories and hearing about
their unique co-factors. This approach allows them, and their teams, to begin the
detective work of getting to the root causes of disease and health concerns. Our
doctors value the Riordan Clinic philosophy of patients being empowered co-
learners; becoming closely involved in their own health discovery process.
Dr. Ron attributes the success of this approach to the collaboration that his
patients have with the entire Riordan Clinic medical team. He values the role
that each medical professional plays in providing comprehensive care. Together,
they utilize their unique expertise and skillsets to allow a more robust approach
beyond the limitations of a single provider’s own knowledge and time restrictions.
EXPERTS IN MEDICAL CARE Our doctors, providers, nurses,
medical assistants, and
phlebotomists are traditionally
trained and fully licensed.
They also have specialized training
and experience in the unique
therapies and services we offer here
at the Riordan Clinic.
Co-learnership means that we are
better together. Dr. Ron’s team
approach is this concept in action.

REAL HEALTH IS:
• Empowering ourselves as co-learners.
• Correcting measurable dysfunctions.
• Making food our medicine.
• Cultivating healthy reserves.
• Finding the real causes of illness.
• Adopting better lifestyle choices.
• Caring for the whole person.
• Honoring the healing power of nature.
Our ApproachRather than focusing on a diagnosis and managing
symptoms, our goal is to discover the root causes of disease.
Simply put, we aren’t just looking to label what is wrong with
you – we want to find out why the disease occurred in the
first place and then to address those causes.
Our approach is to treat the whole person, beginning with
a thorough review of medical history and a comprehensive
patient evaluation. This yields a highly customized holistic
treatment plan that will put you on the path to better health.
As a patient at the Riordan Clinic, you will be fully involved
in the discovery process of getting well. By taking an active

role in your recovery, you will understand the systemic
causes of your illness better, thus enacting a positive impact
on your health.
Many patients use the Riordan Clinic exclusively to address
their health issues, others choose to integrate our therapies
with those of their traditional doctor. We provide the ultimate
form of healing – hope. Whether you are at the beginning of
your path to wellness or you have been challenged for many
years, we can help. Take charge of your health by becoming
a patient at the Riordan Clinic today.
Dr. Ron, as patients
fondly refer to him,
is a native Kansan.
He attended
Kansas University
Medical School and did his internship at Wichita’s Wesley
Medical Center. His residency was completed at the
Smoky Hill Family Practice Program in Salina, Kansas. Dr
Hunninghake began his career as a small-town physician
in Minneapolis, Kansas where he first started teaching
clinic-based wellness. Later, he joined nearby Salina Family
Physicians and was instrumental in founding WellPlan, a
comprehensive lifestyle modification program. Seeking even
greater involvement in helping patients learn innovative
ways to rebuild and maintain their health, he joined the
Riordan Clinic in 1989 as its Medical Director.
In addition to his practice at the Riordan Clinic, Dr.
Hunninghake has traveled the world to lecture on The
Riordan IVC Protocol for Cancer. He is a past chairman
of the International Schizophrenia Foundation and has
been a regular presenter at their Orthomolecular Medicine
Today conference that is held annually in Canada. At the
Riordan Clinic he has presented more than 300 lectures
dealing with all facets of nutrition, lifestyle, and optimal
health. He has co-authored three books on subjects
including inflammation, energy-boosting supplements,
and how to stop pre-diabetes.
Dr. Hunninghake sees patients for a variety reasons, including
complex chronic illnesses, hormonal and thyroid imbalances,
heavy metal and other toxicities and anyone who is not
getting the answers they seek through traditional medicine.
He takes time talking with patients, listening to their stories
and hearing about their unique co-factors that allow him to
begin his detective work of getting to the root causes of their
concerns. He values the Riordan Clinic philosophy of patients
being empowered co-learners; becoming closely involved in
their own health discovery process.

Riordan Clinic | est. 1975 | Wichita, KS
The Riordan Clinic has over four decades of experience in successfully treating a wide variety of sustained illnesses including:
Cancer
Lyme Disease
Heart Disease
Fibromyalgia
Diabetes
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Gut Issues
Food Sensitivities
Autoimmune Disorders
Optimal Aging
Anxiety & Depression
Hormone Replacement Therapy
Nutrient Imbalances
Non-surgical Weight Loss
and more
Some of our most encouraging success stories are with patients who have a variety of long-term symptoms but have been
unable to get a diagnosis. We seek to identify the underlying causes of illness and correct them using nutrient balancing and
other therapies.
Symptoms like fatigue, rash, constipation, stiffness, swelling, depression, and many others, may be the manifestation of
unbalanced chemistry within the body. At the Riordan Clinic, we know that the nutrients in our body control our chemistry,
and if our inventory is low or in excess of some nutrients, symptoms are inevitable. For this reason, our patients, called co-
learners, start with a baseline nutrient inventory panel ordered so that the doctors can learn more about their individuality.
