THE TALES OF MANSA BANKERA
M.A.G utilises the power of animation and movies to teach ourstudents about positive masculinity, self-esteem, identity andbehaviour. We decided to avoid traditional routes of teachingbecause we found it repetitive and outdated and our studentsentered our subjects with ill informed judgements that interruptedtheir growth. Our dynamic approach and unique curriculum allow us to presentrepetitive and challenging concepts in a new and empowering way. We analyse characters such as The Hulk and explore hisrelationship with anger or Naruto who had unresolved issues withfriendships and his parents, being accepted and beingmisunderstood. Every cartoon character has their story to tell, anarrative that millions of children today can relate to and learnfrom. There are so many characters to choose from, for that reason, thecharacter who resonated with our organisational values the most was Aang, The Last Air Bender (Netflixs and Nickelodeon.)Manhood Academy Global draws upon Aang's experiences toexplore manhood, self-development and dealing withtransformation.
Our Approach
The Story of Mansa Bankera
Manhood Academy Global commissioned Award-Winning Author Davis J Williams tocreate a character known as Mansa Bankera. Born Mansa Bankera in the land now known as Burkina Faso, Mansa grew up in a peace-loving family. Mansa's heritage was rich and he came from a long line of astonishing men,vanguards, and world-renowned scholars and peacekeepers. Until one day, whilst Mansawas away with his aunty, things changed, there appeared out of nowhere a mysteriousstorm that ran riot on this homeland destroying everything.Gone were the people, itsancient artefacts, scrolls, and ancestral lessons, just like that, at a blink it all went. WhenMansa returned he was devastated. He felt lost and heartbroken. Mansa was an 8-year-old orphan who now lacked guidance,a sense of belonging and a family. Mansa sat there reminiscing. He remembered TheVillage Elders speaking of a time of great change and how it will be the responsibility of"The Special One" to restore the natural order. Mansa took this as a sign.Mansa had oneoption. At the tender age of 8 years old, he went on a mission in search of the missingscrolls of Manhood, a relic that was passed down from father to son, elder to younger. The journey was life-changing, but after 5 years, at the age of 13 years old Mansa foundit, The Ancient Scrolls of The 6 Paths. The elders declared that only "The Special One"would be worthy enough to find and read this sacred Scroll. Mansa stayed in the cave for 3years and 2 days until he mastered the teachings and became known as the MAN of theSIX PATHS.

THEINTENTION
Setting an intention islike drawing a map of
where you wish to go —it becomes the driving
force of your higherconsciousness. Withoutan intention there is no
map, and you're justdriving down a road with
no destination in mind
THEPREPARATION
Rites of Passage is not aday trip. Young initiates
are guided by theirmentors on what needs
to be done. Variouschallenges and tasks areissued to build skills andto get them ready for the
real journey.
THEJOURNEY
Their environment iseverything. During this
stage the young studentswill be separated from
their family and familiarsurroundings. For theMAGIC to happen one
must leave THEIRCOMFORT ZONE.

family to rejoice,why? The younginitiate has now
