The Agony in the Garden (22:39-46)

“Pray that you may not undergo the test.”

(22:40b) Then Jesus “prayed so

fervently that his sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground.” (22:44b)

The appearance of Jesus before Herod is only in Luke.

Herod questions Jesus.

Jesus remains silent because it is faith in Jesus, not curiosity, that gets rewarded.
