Attaching a Note to a PartThree Ways to Get to Remarks

You may have noticed that the Remarks icon from earlier versions of ETKA no longer appears in the ETKA header. Instead, you now can choose from three other simple ways to gain access to this note-taking function:

• Click on the Remarks icon on the Car Identification or Part Information screens

• Use the ETKA right-click shortcut menu to access the “Remarks” function

• Alt + R: Press the “Alt” and the “R” keys on your keyboard simultaneously

Note: If you press Alt + R when positioned in the header of a Catalog page, your note will be visible on that page, as opposed to it being attached to the part number.

Attach to a Note Add attachments to your notes

Now when you create your own note related to a part or part number, and you can attach photos and/or documents directly to the remark. Additionally, you can add an attachment to the remarks for a VIN as well as a part.

Sharing Notes - Networked users can access notes another user has createdBeginning with notes made in ETKA, if you choose, your notes can be centrally stored for your network, making them available to all users of your choosing, at all times. In this way, each user can have access to the same information, including photos and other documents attached to the notes.

To take advantage of this feature:

1. From ETKA’s homepage link, click on “MAINTENANCE”2. Click on Settings3. Under “UNIVERSALLY,” click on “Remarks”4. Click on the checkbox in front of “Path”5. Click on the SEARCH button to browse locations, selecting a path to get to destination file6. Click on the TEST PATH button to test that you’ve selected the intended path

7. Click on the STORE button to save.

1. Click on the printer icon and check send a link circle

Send a Link as an Email Cont’d2. Fill in the email address (must be in lower case) of the person you want to send the ETKA page.

3. You will receive confirmation that the e-mail was sent

4. Your IRF receives the below screen

5. IRF opens page and either calls you back or has the option to send you an order

6. If IRF sends an order, you will receive an e-mail with order attached.

Using NORA and partslink24 – TABS With ETKA, you can use ETKA’s NORA Web-Viewer and partslink24 to help you facilitatepart orders from outside of your dealership.

Note: If the NORA Order Forms button in your ETKA header currently appears grayed out, go through Maintenance on the ETKA homepage to Settings, under “COMMUNICATION,” select the NORA Order Form

Configuration, click on the checkbox preceding “Edit NORA Order Form” to check it, and click on the STORE button.

Using NORA and partslink24 Cont’d Partslink24 is a multi-brand online portal which gives IRFs access to original parts information and the possibility to order original parts directly from their authorized dealer of choice for a minimal fee.

A Terms and Conditions (T&C) box will open. If you accept the T&Cs, check the accept box, and click on the Continue button. Click on “Administrator Users”:
