"Academy Sports & Outdoors Introduces Upcoming East Coast
Distribution Center"
As Academy continues to grow an additional distribution center has become a necessity. Ordersto the new DC may be written as early as March of 2008, so please prepare your systemsaccordingly.
Changes to EDI? There aren’t any mapping changes at all to the EDI transmissions. What we doneed is for your system to read the N1*ST segment of each 850 PO accurately and make sure thatthe PO is sent to the correct location. Each DC is assigned a “store” number and that specificnumber would be present in the N1*ST segment.
Dedicated Store to DC relationship? Yes…I’m including the current store listing and the DCassignments. This would be for use in updating files in your system, if needed, but the PO’swould still ship to the “store” present in the N1*ST segment.
There are really three locations involved here. Two of the locations should already be setup inyour system. All three DC’s and their addresses are presented below.
Store 004 Store 704 Store 905Academy DC Academy, Ltd. Dallas Market DC1800 N. Mason RD. Twiggs County DC 1810 Kelly BlvdKaty, TX 77449 1 Academy Drive Carrollton, TX 75006
Jeffersonville, GA 31044
Store 704, Twiggs County DC, will not be open for receiving until at least December, 2008. If aPO is received requesting shipment to 704 prior to December, 2008 contact the Buyer [email protected] immediately to reconfirm the correct ship to facility. No ordersshould be routed to Twiggs County DC until you have received direction to ship as such.
There shouldn’t be any need to test the EDI documents as there aren’t any changes in the formatof these documents. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to
[email protected]. Please check vendor.academy.com periodically for updates and changes.

Requested Resale Certificate (Tax Exemption) for TCDC (Store 704)
• Who is eligible for the “Resale Certificate”? Trade vendors (vendors we purchase items from for resale in stores) who
shouldn't be charging Academy tax on our purchases because we charge tax on the items sold to the customer.
• Who is not eligible for the “Resale Certificate”? Expense vendors: Items Academy purchase to consume & are
taxable to Academy.
• For questions related to the “Resale Certificate” please contact: Katrina BlumeSr. Tax Analyst [email protected]
The certificate that retailers use is to let vendors know that we are intending to resell purchased items and ultimately collect the tax from the customer. Resale certificates are provided to vendors that indicate we are purchasing items for resale and that they should not be charging us tax on our purchase.
