Photographer Eirini Pajak uses a technique known as focus-stacking, wherein she shoots with the lens almost wide open, then manually focuses through the plane of a flower, one millimeter at a time. After, she “stacks” the images using a computer program.

The Arizona Trail is the brainchild of the late Dale Shewalter, a grade-school teacher who first started thinking about a statewide trail while hiking in Central Arizona. “I was dangling my legs over the Mogollon Rim,” he said, “looking east and west under the moonrise,

and wondering how far it went. I was determined to walk the length of it.” Eventually, his dream shifted direction, and, today, the AZT runs for more than 800 miles from the Coronado National Memorial in the south all the way to the Utah border up north.

ARIZONA’S NATIONAL PARKS POSTER COLLECTION

These beautifully illustrated 16" x 20" posters of Arizona’s national parks were created for the Arizona Office of Tourism by local artist Daniel Shewmaker to celebrate the state’s one-of-a-kind parks.

The series shown also includes a 16" x 20" poster created to celebrate Grand Canyon National Park’s 100th anniversary, which took place February 26, 2019. Eleven versions are available. Each $15.00.
