LOGIN TO YOUR PARTICIPANT CENTRE

1. Go to the walk website (www.braintumourwalk.ca) and fill in your

username and your password, then click login.

2. If you forgot your username and/or password, just click login and you

will be prompted to reset your username and/or password.

PARTICIPANT CENTRE HOME PAGE

1. Your home page contains links and tabs to a variety of tools that you can use

for your fundraising efforts.

2. You can click on any of the tabs in the Participant Centre or use the

menu to the right.

Donation Forms – You are required to print and hand in a completed donation form for your cash and cheque donations. This document is only found in your Participant Centre, or upon request from BTFC.

PERSONAL FUNDRAISING PAGE

1. You can edit and personalize your online fundraising page that is provided

to you when you register for a Brain Tumour Walk. You can personalize the

message on your page, add a photo or video and even customize the link

you share with potential donors.

2. A suggested title and body message are provided, although we

recommend personalizing your message! Click preview to see what

your page will look like. When you are done, click save.

3. Click the “photo” button to upload photos to your page. Choose a file

from your computer and click save/upload. Click the “video” button to

copy and paste a YouTube URL to be shared on your page instead of a

photo.

4. Team Captains can also customize the team page. The Team Page tab will

only show up in the Team Captains Participant Centre.

SENDING EMAILS FROM YOUR PARTICIPANT CENTRE

1. ADD CONTACTS

a. The “Contacts” tab offers you the ability to upload and add contacts

individually or as a group for future use.

b. Some participants choose to skip adding their contacts to their

Participant Centre; instead they send the solicitation note to themselves

and forward to their contacts from their own email.

c. You can import contacts from your email address book by clicking

import. You can choose to import all contacts from your email address

book or pick and choose them individually.

d. If you choose to add a single contact or add contacts one by one, a box will

appear to manually enter in your contact’s information. Simply add their

first name, last name and email then press the orange “Add” button. This is

the less “techy” way to add contacts.

e. You can create groups to make sending emails to multiple contacts

quick and easy. Click “Add to Group” then “Create Group” to name

your new group and click submit. Your new group will appear in the

“Add to Group” dropdown menu. Select the contacts that you want to

add to a group, click the “Add to Group” dropdown menu, and select

one group or multiple groups to add them to. The groups they have

been added to will be listed next to their name.

f. On the contacts tab, you can keep track of emails sent, when your

contacts open them and what donations they have made!

2. CONFIGURE EMAIL

On the Email tab, you can send emails to ask for donations (Ask for

Donations), thank donors (Thank You) and recruit others to join your team

(Other). Select which template you’d like to use, then click next.

3. COMPOSE EMAIL

You can customize the text in the email. Even if you’re not customizing the email,

make sure you read through the email and add your own name when appropriate!

A link to your fundraising page will automatically be added to your emails.

Click preview to view what the recipient will see. Click next when you are done

editing and ready to select recipients.

4. SET RECIPIENTS

If you previously participated in a Brain Tumour Walk, any contacts from the

previous event will already appear here. Team members and donors will also

already appear here. You can view individual contacts and groups using the

dropdown button. Once you have selected your recipients, click next.

5. PREVIEW AND SEND EMAIL

Preview your message and when you are ready, click send. Any

responses will come directly to your inbox.

PROGRESS

On the progress tab, you can see your fundraising progress. You can

update your goal and view/download a list of donors.

Team Captains - click on Team to see team progress. You can view/ download

a list of donors who donated to the team, but not to members of your team.

You can also download/view your team roster.

ENTER NEW GIFT

1. To enter a gift, select the "Enter new gift" button located on the right side

of the page.

2. Cash, cheque and credit card donations can be entered here. Please enter

the donor's full address so they can be receipted.

3. For donations of $20 or more, a tax receipt will be emailed or mailed to

the donor after the event.

4. All cheques should be made payable to Brain Tumour Foundation of

Canada.

5. If entering a credit card donation, you MUST enter both the donor

information and credit card details in the form.

DONATION FORM

1. You are required to print and hand in a completed donation form for your

cash and cheque donations. This document is found on the “Home” tab in

your Participant Centre, or upon request from BTFC. Bring all the

cash/cheques to the event with a completed donor form. You do not need

to list online credit card donations on this form.

2. If you’ve already entered your cash and cheque donations in your

Participant Centre, you can download a full list of personal donations

and attach it to the donation form instead of writing them out. Be sure

to fill in your information at the top of the form. Visit the “Donation

History” section in the “Progress” tab to download your donation list.
