Boiler loan repayment A big thank you to all who have donated to the heating fund. To date, your red envelope donations, along with proceeds from fundraising events, have covered our quarterly loan repayments to the Diocese. With fundraising events and the red envelope scheme on hold during lockdown, we would be very grateful for donations: Direct bank transfer to "Parish of St Peter and St Paul Godalming" Cafbank sort code 405240 Account number 00015455 Please reference the heating fund. Cheques, made payable to Godalming PCC, can be sent c/o The Treasurer, 4 Huxley Close, Godalming, Surrey GU7 2AS Please do email our Gift Aid Officer, Matthew Greenfield ([email protected]) if you are a U.K. Taxpayer so that we can claim back an extra 25p for every £1 donated. Other giving Regular donations are most easily set up through the Parish Giving Scheme (this is also the least onerous method for us to administer). For further information, or to be sent a form, please email or call Sarah in the office, or the Churchwardens. https://www.parishgivingscheme.org.uk/for-donors/ Finally, during lockdown, more of us are shopping online than ever. There is a simple way to raise extra funds for the church every time you do, using Easy Fundraising. Follow this link to find out more: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/stspeterpaulpc/ Online giving For those who prefer to give individual rather than regular donations, we now have a new way to donate by credit or debit card via our website: https://parishofgodalming.org.uk/donations/ We greatly appreciate all your kind donations, which allow the work of our churches to continue.

Zoom services: Please join us for our Sunday Morning Act of worship on Sundays using Zoom. To receive the meeting ID please send an email to [email protected] We use ZOOM for online prayers and Act of Worship. The meeting ID will be published prior to the event. More details on our Acts of Worship are on the website – www.parishofgodalming.org.uk To view the recording of the Act of worship please visit the Online Meetings and services /Sunday Services Please keep checking the Church website for details of the next Prayer session / Act of Worship. Preparations for church reopening and changes to midweek fellowship/services: After prayer and discussion it has been agreed that planning will now proceed for the church to open for private prayer, subject to compliance with the necessary statutory requirements. We anticipate we will be ready by the end of this month or early in August, and plan to open the church on Mondays and Fridays for a two-hour period each day, times to be agreed. Thank you to those of you who have already volunteered to be available as part of the team in church, although more volunteers would be very welcome; please let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly. As we move towards the church reopening for private prayer, we will find increasing opportunities for fellowship during the week, so will stop offering the online pattern during the week. In the meantime, a morning prayer service is available at both Busbridge Church and Holy Trinity Church. To join in Holy Trinity’s worship, please follow this link and sign up for the newsletter which will give you the weekly link to the services. https://htsmguildford.us19.listmanage.com/subscribe?u=11402c0b7af849816d8962ef7&id=b4d50c433f

A prayer for all those affected by coronavirus

Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy. Sustain and support the anxious,

be with those who care for the sick, and lift up all who are brought low;

that we may find comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love

in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
