Management education continues to attractyoungsters in our country, like a magic wand.Every year, campuses of business schools acrossthe country come abuzz with activity as a newbatch of students arrives, with their ownaspirations, goals and dreams. In our country, students who joina B School are typically young and without anywork experience. Most of them are really not surewhy they are there. Theenthusiasm of students disappears even beforethe journey has begun. Many of our B Schoolsare unable to attract good faculty. Most of thefaculty members do not have industryexperience. Textbooks andmuch of the reading material used in our B-Schools are mostly American in origin. There islittle quality writing by Indian professors.
